Brantano

I recently bought my 7 year old daughter some black skittles boots for £28 from brantano. She wore them for 6 hours at school and when she returned home the top layer had scuffed off on both boots.

Obviously after paying that money we expected them to last a bit longer. I took the boots back to our local Shropshire branch. I told the assistant the problem. She then pro needed to run the scuff with her thumb for about a minute before calling the "customer care" manager.

After she had talked on the phone she told me there was nothing she could do as it was not a manufacturing fault. I reitterated that my daughter wore them for one day. Brantano had absolutely no interest and said sorry and gave them back. Brantano take no responsibility for the shoddy workmanship of any shoes they sell and just want your money. The boots I bought were not fit for purpose . Please be aware if buying shoes at this store as the quality is

poor and after care is even worse. Avoid at all costs.

I used to work here many years ago and loved it. However have recently been into the Northampton, St James branch and the woman with very short brown hair who I believe to be the manager constantly follows me and makes me feel like a common criminal. I have never stolen anything in my life and have a law degree and work at a law firm so why she feels the need to follow me I don't know, I do not look like a thief. Rudest shop worker I have ever come across, needs to learn manners and people skills, not make people feel unwelcome and horrible about themselves. Horrible unfriendly. Went to complain about this awful woman on their website and it kept not sending so couldnt even do that! Also the shoes are terrible quality and very expensive.

I took a pair of school shoes back to Brantano and they didn't seem to want to know. Offered me no refund or exchange. The shoes have split and was advised by the member of staff I dealt with that it was normal. So as far as they are concerned you spend £42.00 on a pair of Rhino shoes for school and they expect them to last 6 weeks? Would never shop there again.
