Bogus Robbing Company And To Be Avoided At All Times.
Avoid this company avoid, avoid, avoid. I had a non fault accident and got fobbed off with a notification only purpose so that they would not have to pay me anything. I have maximun protected policy and 10 years no claims and just got fobbed off. Even police made derogitory remarks regardin my treatment. Take a policy out with this company at your own peril beware of this company. I was so digustd ny my yreatment I just never claimed this robbing company

Spoke to a man about an ongoing claim I have against one of their drivers and the man was so rude to me on the phone. Very short, blunt, didn't want to help or speak to me at all. Steer clear of this company!!!!!!

Have an ongoing no fault claim as my vehicle was written off by a hit and run driver, i have tried on numerous occasions to contact them with no reply.When i finally did talk to a adjuster she didn't have a clue on the current value of my vehicle and as i expected offered an insulting very very low ball settlement figure.After providing her with details of replacement vehicles within my area it was clear that they are trying to low ball me,im not happy with the level of customer care from this insurance company as its far the worst ive had to experience Ever! STAY CLEAR!

Sounds about right, this is a very big company and just rob people and fob off with insurance jargon to avoid liability. Take a policy out at your peril with this company. Buyer beware

It would take me a year to explain just how awful Covea are - we got lumbered with them through the AA (thanks for that AA) and in all honesty, I'm so exhausted after my dealings with this horrendous company after we suffered an accident which wasn't our fault, that I can't think straight enough to write a review on just how BAD AWFUL TERRIBLE they are!

I would never use this insurance company again, after being hit by another driver covea did not want to chase the other driver to pay for my repairs, I was advised to accept as a fault on my policy- it was straight forward- I was hit , the other driver accepted responsibility! After numerous phone calls, one willing employee agreed to chase the other persons insurance, and sorted it for me! Many of the employees did not seem to have a clue of what they were dealing with, and I got varied conflicting responses throughout! AVOID AVOID AVOID
This seems to be the norm with this bogus robbing company and should be prosecuted for a multitude of crimes
I also had a nightmare of a time with this bogus comany and was so disgusted just did not claim due to no interest by this comany at what happened to me in a non fault accident. Buyer beware and avoid this bogus company
With all these complants and I learned fron experience thos bogus robbing company should be investigated and charged with fraud theft and list goes on

Covea is a great insurer, they solved all my problems, courtesy car delivered almost immediately and cheap renewal.
Would recommend to anyone, the claims dealer jon was the best :)

Lucky you, please read other customers reviews and judge again at the treatment they have got from this nightmare company.
You seem to be only one on here got any satisfaction , most other customers like me were robbed and fobbed off.

Covea Insurance Wouldn't Recommend To My Worst Enemy
When taking out your car insurance with a broker, ask them if they use Covea Insurance. If they answer yes stay well clear. Had my accident on the 9th may they didn't send someone to pick my car up until the 27th may. Its now the 13/06/2014 and i'm still in a hire car. My car is a cat d. Had an accident that wasn't my fault, the other party hit me twice. First in the side then up the rear. She was driving an automatic hit the gas both times instead of the brake. Covea have offered me £2770 for a 59 reg Fiat Panda active eco with 33,000 miles on the clock. the car was in pristine condition both inside and out before the crash. I can't afford to buy a car the same as what I had on that offer. They say they use glasses car guide. So I checked it for myself. My cars value on there is £3140-£3740. Lol Covea you are a joke and what you offer for peoples cars is an insult to that person. STAY AWAY FROM COVEA INSURANCE!!!!!!!
Avoid ths company do not take a poicy out with them , you will be fobbed off or blatantly robbed by them.

I agree , I had much the same nightmare and was just fobbed off and did not make a claim due to being disgusted by treatment from this bogus company , they should be investigated and prosecuted for theft and many other crimes they are commiting
Covea/ I Would Advise To Stay Well Clear!!
Would advise anyone to stay well clear, I used only young drivers, who have always been very good until I got passed to covea, I am currently fighting a battle with over my price of my car, I had been hit and have alot of pain in in my shoulder and neck, the other driver has confirmed he was at fault at the scene and to the insurances he was at fault, cova have review my car to give me a price after being told its a cat d and pulled out wires and told me the price have been taken down to wire loss and issue with the car, I have had 3 people that own garage look at the car to be told they are doing me over, trying to argue this point get you no where the company just want to make money out of you, the customer service is dreadful. I am still fighting with the company over the price of the car, I have been made to feel the whole time I am the one in the wrong, I have never been so digusted with the lack of help, getting insurance with this company is point less,they dont want to help or make you feel any better, insurance is there for for a reason this company dont seem to see this, a hire car had been given to me while there they check my convertible, to find the hire company calling me saying they want the car bac, I then had to mess about calling to arrange for them to be called to be told when I get paid a settlement fee the car goes bac, you cant get a new car with out one to go get one, at the moment I am at a big loss as far as I am aware this shd not be the case, I hope no one else is treated in this way, they have caused more stress then need

I'm really worried now. I have called to make a claim after stupidly reversing into a lampost. After 10 years of driving I can't quite believe it. Anyway, after speaking to 4 different people over the past 4 days and getting nowhere I have now had to make an appt for someone to call me to make yet another statement. I have felt like they were trying to catch me out the whole time. I reversed into a lampost, its pretty obvious when they see the pics that they sent someone to my house to take. I can't even get a courtesy car until they 'validate my claim' something is telling me they are not going to do that. If I could afford to get it fixed I would just do it myself anyway. Do they really think I want to be charged their premiums?! Argh! Hope it gets sorted out for you.

I had a car accident on February 2nd and, as of March 18th, i am still awaiting the settlement of my claim. Covea Insurance sent out a recovery vehicle to retrieve my car very swiftly. As i was still shaken, as was my 10 year old son, i forgot to ask them where they were taking it. When i called the following day, i was told that Covea had no idea where it was either and they would attempt to trace it. I had to retrieve my personal effects which included specific items belonging to my son who has special needs. 2 days later, i received an email stating they had identified the location of my car and that i would have to make my way there to retrieve those items. I saw my car which did have a suspected cracked radiator and front bumper damage; no glass broken, steering all okay etc. INside the car, a brand new torch missing which i did query of the guys at wrecker's yard but they knew nothing about it. Reported it to Covea who said they couldn't be responsible. They sent out an engineer who assessed the damage and deemed my car to be "beyond economical repair". I queried this and said that if my garage could repair, it would be better as it was a very sound car with very low mileage. I explained my particular need as my son with Aspergers cannot deal well with change or disruption to routine/familiarity but no heed paid. I explained that i am a single mum living out in rural Scotland not on a bus route and that i would struggle to manage taking my son on public transport even if we had a lift to the nearest bus.
I continually have had to call Covea with nobody ringing me or addressing my concern over the length of time taken over my claim and the rudeness/indifference to my own situation. They promise to call me back as i am a busy working mum relying on friends to take both me and my son into work/school. I don't blame Covea for me having the accident but i do blame them for their lack of compassion and inability to see how they could best help their customer.
I have telephoned almost every other day and had to deal with a succession of people who do not have any idea of the state of the claim so that i have to go through all the detail over again.
Ultimately, i have had to escalate the claim to a complaint about their poor service and customer support and have now been told that this can take up to a further 8 weeks. I have repeatedly asked them to keep me updated as to the state of the claim for both the insurance and the compensation claim and only since last week have they begun to send me an update email. One staff member insisted on talking over me and telling me that Covea could not be held responsible for the fact that i have been without a vehicle for over 6 weeks despite special circumstances. When asked if i could hire a car, they would only pay for it for 2 weeks. It has taken them 6 weeks already and could be another 6 so how useless is that?
Don't expect to receive any kind of support from Covea Insurance. They only want your monthly premium.

AA are a broker, perhaps naive of me not to recognise this initially but it soon became apparent when it took 4 attempts to simply report an accident claim and after 3 weeks there was still no action - I had been directed to the wrong broker initially, spent an hour on the phone giving my details only for them to be lost(with a newborn and 2 children to see to that's not an easy task. I then gave all my details to the correct broker (Covea Insurance)only for them to not bother processing my claim either. A third attempt at chasing things up, another hour on the phone at my expense and finally thing started moving, albeit very slowly.
Covea were extremely unhelpful, initially sending out a photographer to assess damage to my car. The quote they mustered up was a fraction of the cost an independent garage had quoted. MANY phone calls later and several heated conversations with senior managers and they agreed I should seek an independent quote and they would honour this. For the sake of fairness I sought a different garage. The quote, again, was 90% of my car value. The car (as agreed by mechanic) was a write off.
Covea disagreed and reverted back to their initial offer which didn't even begin to cover the repairs, this offer was based on their engineers *looking* at photos. I asked them to come and assess if they were reneging on agreement to honour independent quote. They refused. I asked them to value the car and compare damage to car value, they refused.
This battle continued for 2 months, all the time I was left ill having to travel back and forth to hospital appointments with 3 children and no car. I do not live on a bus route. Covea promised to contact me via email because service in my area is poor, they failed to do so every time. I had to update the call handlers each time on the whole saga, each time I was given a different and very unhelpful opinion. Covea let me down miserably, as an insurance company they failed to do the very thing that underpins their entire existence - support the customer who pays for their protection. I had to fire fight throughout and the whole thing reduced me to tears.
I finally gave in and agreed to settle just to get it over with. I was over a £1000 out of pocket. Furthermore, the AA are still charging me for insurance even though this has clearly been cancelled.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
I agree their engineers are hopeless! I argued with them about the extent of damage to my car for up to 30 days before I finally got my car back. Now i am locked in a legal dispute over hire charges with their henchmen they shafted me to. Its the worst car insurance I've ever been with! Accident was not of my fault!
