I Cannot Express How Bad This Company Is

Do not take out pet insurance won’t his company. As a vet we deal on a daily basis with insurances and this is by far the worst ( along with any others underwritten by the insurance factory).

Time to pay ( if they do at all) over 3 months. Delay paying when ever they can, refuse to speak to you on the phone and don’t reply to emails.

As a consequence we will not do direct claims with them anymore and owners have to pay upfront.

Awful Incompetent Avoid

Awful customer service and the continue to say information hasn’t been received even it has been sent 3 times and confirmed receipt after calling them to then cancel your claim and have to start again. people take out insurance for reassurance, I have spent a lot of my hard earned money on my pet who unfortunately had stood in glass and needed an op. I’m still waiting 3 months later to even get the ball rolling trying to claim any of what I spent back, wishful thinking. I pay £45 a month Amesbury would honey honestly recommend not opting for an insurance company based on price, it’s not worth your time or the hassle.

Do Not Use

Claiming insurance following the death of my much loved pet I was told the form would be very easy. Over an hour later we are having to gather a ridiculous amount information. 4 emails and numerous links for forms we were told we couldn’t claim because of the age of our dog. Another phone call! Had to start all over again. Then one question asked for 3 years medical history so then had to get back onto vet and ask for them to email it to us. Our hearts are broken and you would expect a bit of sympathy from the companies who are so ready to take your money by truly making this painful time easier.

A Swizz!

I was with Asda pet insurance. I was with them for 12 years. It started out around £20 something a month for superior cover, so not a bad price. Bear in mind it was 12 years ago. The cost increased yearly and last year it was around £90 per month, but our dog was 11 so we expected it to be high. We never had to claim on the insurance. Then last September our dog needed one-off blood tests after an incident. The blood tests came to £340 so we decided that we would claim on our insurance. Asda insurance took off excess of £100 and another 'excess' because of our dogs age. So in the end we got £150 back out of the £340 we'd paid.

We've just got our renewal and, because of the one very small claim, it has been increased to £185 per month!!

I have had 'conversations' with Asda Pet Insurance but was met with indifference.

That's for being a loyal customer for 12 years and making one claim for which we received £150.

Needless to say we have cancelled our insurance with Asda.

Avoid !

This has been an absolutely awful experience for us. We had to wait months to receive any kind of payment and then only got half of money claimed. I had been communicating with the company for months and sending everything they asked for. It was not until I threatened to contact their C.E.O. that suddenly they were able to complete the assessment.

Currently I have all of my three dogs insured with this company. Needless to say, when it is time for renewal, non of my dogs will be insured with them.

Check The T & C Docs Carefully !!

You’ll see the website says it covers a certain amount of vet fees (5k in my case) but then when you come to claim you’ll find there are lots of conditions where they have a very low limit. This is not clear when you are buying and some of their limits are hidden when you view on line.

Yes they are cheap….. but there is a good reason for this. I would avoid and pay the extra and go with a reputable company.
