Paphos, Aphrodite Water Park

Having holidayed in Cyprus each summer for the past five years, we have gone to the Paphos waterpark every summer, but not this Summer- we'll look elsewhere.

Why?

Be aware that you're looking at well over hundred euros for two adults and two kids for the day. It's not just the entry charges; (Adults aged 12 years and over - '29 Children aged 3-11 years inclusive - '16), it's all the extras that add up (locker/ no food or drink allowed to be brought in).

None of which would be a problem if you were getting value for money or anything approaching decent service, but the customer service, food, quality of lifegaurd attention and general tone is getting worse every visit we've had, culminating in foot infection, bad reaction to food and a full on row with 'senior' management last summer who called us liars over a ridiculous minor incident involving a melted ice cream.

All minor stuff apparently, but more worrying is the safety record involving deaths/ accidents

There are many great places to go in and around Paphos but unless the management finally decides to do something about the posing, the safety, the hygiene, and the customer service, I'd say stay away.

Having spent over a thousand euros over the years at the place, I won't be spending any more...

Visted park this year, only one member of staff controlling 3 rides no supervision once you came down the slides. On certain slides the rings smash into the wall hurting your back on the five lane slider you came down so fast you smashed into the wall. One man smashed his head on the bottom of the pool and was taken to hospital. The park needs to improve their safety standards before someone lands up in a wheel chair. It will be the first and last trip for my family until safety stanards are improved.

It was a brilliant day and it's even better than when we went before. I recommend it to anyone visiting Paphos! It has great facilities and has the biggest water family rafting in Europe wich is amazingly fun!
