First of all on add description I was going to get this bike delivered, with out a physical view of it

Well looked after machine and great condition

Slight scuff on side box

IT WAS NOT

Both panniers scratched paintwork faded

Drive was terrible suspension iffy . Look before you buy

I bought from Dobles a second hand bmw1200gs, it was a good price, a bit tatty due to it being used as a commutor.

had several calls with some bloke, one of which was about the overall condition of the bike, so there were no suprises when i arrived, it was exactly as discribed.

the problem came when they prepped it for my collection.

i was told it would be serviced and mot'd.

there was some work to do for the mot, a knuckle and brakes front and rear including discs.

it was a long drive from Cornwall to surrey but non the less i was happy to do the miles.

the bloke whom i spoke to (and 1 other)were not there on my arrival although they had said they would be.

paid up and then recieved the paperwork and bike to load and go home.

while on the journey home i looked at the service book to check history only to find no stamp or evidence that a service had been carried out.

once home it was time to inspect the bike.

NO SERVICE had even been attempted whatsoever and the discs to the rear had not been replaced.

i called dobles and got dismissed almost instantly, turns out the person I spoke to is the owner, i found him very arrogant on the phone and he point blank refused to aknowledge the fact that i had any beef woith them for not carring out what they said they would do.

i then took the bike to a BMW garage for an inspection.

as i feared, no service had been carried out, the brake fluid was that old it was suggested that this was the original fluid, the meter showed it as dangerous.

the rear brake pads had been fitted to a worn out disc and it was also flagged as dangerous.

it seems this is a common thing when they sell at a distance, i have seen several other reviews pointing out pretty much the same, people not there on arrival and service not done.

i'm sure they are fine with new stuff, i have no knowledge, only my own experience!

i have bought motorcycles at a distance several times and never had any issues, folk are normally honest, however this was a company instaed of a private seller and boy is there a massive difference.

personally, i wouldnt buy a wheel barrow from these people? well, never again will dobles get that oppertunity.

Travelled from South Wales and we were made to feel very welcome and everyone was friendly and professional. Can't praise them enough and would highly recommend them.

They were very helpful transferring our part exchange bike from our van and loading and securing our new bike.

I purchased a new VFR800F from Dobles in Mar 2015. I found the salesperson to be very professional and efficient and he really knew his stuff. Test riding was no trouble at all. I was offered a very fair trade in price for my current machine but opted to keep it instead. Negotiations on the new bike were swift and I was very happy with the deal we arrived at which incorporated a number of Honda accessories, road tax and 600m service.

Bike was ready for collection on time and prepared very nicely. Slight fly in the ointment was that the Akra exhaust was out of stock so it was fitted at the 600 mile service instead. No biggie.

Just had the 1 yr service done (£150). I had previously arranged for it to be done whilst I waited - which it was (dropped off 8:30am, done by 10am).

Overall, I have found Dobles to be very easy and efficient to deal with and will continue to take my VFR there.

ok so I bought a band new Honda cbf 125 payed the full price of £2699.i saved really hard for this bike. never riden a bike before. so I was so excited. 1st of the sales man (mark) was terrible he actually made me feel like a criminal. asking questions he shuldnt be asking and then switching it around as to trying to catch me out. but on what? I felt really unconfutable. anyways 2weeks I got my delivered the sales man wanted me to pay £100 delivery charge when I only 10 mins drive away. managed to knocked it down to £50. so anyways I got my deliverd and the ref counter didn't work. called them back and told themabut the problem.couldnt take it back as I didn't have my cbt or provisional. anyways 3 weeks later done my cbt booked my bike in. and they told me they have neer seem that problem with thr reff counter and told methat the paint pealing off ws damaged done to the main bar in the middle of the bike. he checked and even admitted that there was no sigs of damaged made by self. 2 hours later I get a csll from themsaying there was a alarm system connect to the bike. yes that's right. No wire where cut.no additional work. all I done was connect a wire to the battery to so I could alarm the bike that's it. I left all the wires out. DIDNT cut anything.all I done was add to wire to the battery to power the alarm that's it. now dobles are telling me the I modified the bike and they wont repair it under warenty. and their charging me £125 for service. can some please help me or advice me.

I bought the 125 Forza and traded in my PCX. I received an excellent service. I was offered £200 more for my trade in than Chichester Honda, my new bike and trade in were collected and picked up for £50. The guy that delivevered and picked up was thorough and went through every detail of the new bike. Excellent service overall.

I was the one who wrote about the Honda knocking noise,since this I have been absolutely blown away with Honda dobels response and in particular one very very excellent salesman who has been fantastic in dealing with my problems so good was he I actually bought a new bike yes another cbf1000 FAC 2014 and rode of into the sunshine today with the biggest smile I have had for a long time,and its due to the excellent staff and new bike deals you just can't get better and the knocking noise on my old Honda 2011 CBF was a problem even Honda don't no what's wrong with my old bike so please bikers if you have a problem ask for salesmen from sales he is a biker him self so all he wants is what we want and that is what dobel Honda want and that is for bikers to be bikers and ride and I must say when I'm wrong I will admit I'm wrong and dobel Honda thank you for an excellent trade in price and a great new Honda I will spread the word through all of my marshaling duties with the air ambulance ride outs, dobel Honda you have my buisness from now on just a shame you are not in lakeside it would be cool to have a great Honda dealers so close to us lot over the river.

Loads of problems and no help at all after purchase of motorcycle. Never ever going back.

Bought CBF 1000 2011 from a dealer in Southend road grays Essex then while still under warranty engine star tied to knock steering was loose rear lights stopped working , they refused to put it right so I contacted finance company who dealt with my issues and they sent out an engineer for a report which was totally agreeing with all my bike problems,then dobel honda was given the task of fixing all these problems which they did until less than three months later and less than 600 miles it star tied to knock when hot yet again it is the exact same noise so I returned my bike to dobels and now they are saying they cant find anything wrong with it even though its still on six month warranty they can't find any problems and I can now pick it up this isn't OK and I will be seeking legal action as the finance company payed for a total rebuild bottom end and new oil pump as dobels are really bad and they need to be fixing the bikes that they take the money for and as for dealer of year for the last few years that's hard to believe as they took three months to fix my bike and it has been back in there workshop for the last three weeks as they are busy, total rubbish company with a bad workshop and management for allowing bikes to be sent back out onto the roads with bad problems I will be letting everyone know as I am a marshal on the air ambulance ride outs in Essex and I do all the other ride outs in Essex so the word will be given and the good thing is bikers will stick together

I recently purchased a new Honda CB1000R and was extremely happy with the service and attention provided by [name removed] and the Sales Team.

There were no problems whatsoever, it was a very smooth transaction.

I Would definitely use Doble again and highly recommend them to other motorbike riders. They offer the best prices in the UK - no other dealer could beat them!

After the sale, [name removed] even rang me to ask if I got home ok! Couldn't ask for better service than that. I'm very pleased with my new bike. :)
