Had This Sharp Aquos Lc46xd1 Tv For 3 Months Now A

Had this Sharp Aquos LC46XD1 TV for 3 months now and am well pleased with it. TVs are all about picture and this one delivers. I was a bit worried about watching Freeview on a screen this size but needn't have. Its clear and sharp and of course HD is stunning. I have seperate speakers as I found the sound from the TV a bit weak at higher volume levels, though it has to be said watching general TV at normal volume is just fine. The EPG is the only annoyance. It can sometimes take a second or two after pressing a button on the remote before anything happens. Gorgeous looks. Picture quality is excellent. Sound is a bit weak and lacking in bass at higher volume levels.

Maybe I need glasses but I stood in a showroom for 20 minutes or more studying Sony TVs costing 2 to 3 times the amount of the Sharp and could see little if any difference in the picture. I bought the Sharp and am glad I saved the money.

In My Opinion There Are Way Too Many Issues With T

in my opinion there are way too many issues with the TV to give any other opinion than to be disappointed. I may have been unlucky to have got a bad egg. It's true you get full HD but for sky HD this is not an issue. If you use a Blu-ray - HD DVD or PS3 then you get the benefit of 1080p. But in the sources I use the picture is plagued by pulsing which in SD maybe you would expect but not in HD. The sound is the best bit, it's good. But TV, in my opinion, is all about picture and this TV just does not cut it. As I have a banding problem this is a black band going horizontal fully across the screen with a white vertical band up and down the height of the screen. So I can say the aftersale service of Sharp is poor. I reported the fault over 2 weeks ago and still no visit.
