Once They Have Your Money, They Are Not Interested

If you want to see the condition of a housing estate once Bryant have sold all their plots, visit Gadbury Fold in Atherton Manchester. It's been 5 years of excuses and still no Tarmac laid.

Not exactly living up to their promises.

The road surfaces are dangerous and noisy. All the manhole covers are raised and make a terrible banging sound when a car goes over them. Add this to the non existent noise insulation and peacefully nights in just do not happen.

Nine Months Ago We Purchased An Executive House Bu

Nine months ago we purchased an Executive house built by Bryant homes in 1997, on an executive development in Staffordhsire with it's own lake and nature reserve. We have since replaced all windows, none of which were sealed into brickwork openings, it was simply a case of cutting through the fixing screws with a hacksaw blade, and out the windows came. We have now started to decorate internally, and the woodwork was clearly never fitted by a tradesman; indeed if it were then it was all fitted with carelessness and certainly not with pride. The gaps in frame joints and mitre joints are so big I can only assume the wood was soaked through when fitted and it has shrunk enormously. The skirting boards are between 12 to 15mm off the floor!!....and hence why the carpets have black edges around the perimeter. The front door frame has been fitted at least one inch out of square. There are bulges in external brickwork, probably from laying too many courses at a time. I can go on and on.......but be warned if you are considering buying a house built by Bryant then look beyond the furniture and fixtures when you view. If I had bought this house new in 1997 I can assure you Bryant would have been back in there putting things right; I would never have allowed them to get away with such poor quality workmanship.

I found this review very helpful because... i worked for bryant homes as a joiner about 15yrs ago and on one site next to tynemouth high school the brick work was over half way up and the guy from the nhbc came on site checking the houses and he looked down the caverty of one house and seen that the wall ties were not level, they were lieing in-over so if any water got in it would run into the inside wall and then you would have problems with damp so he told the site manager to pull the walls back down and start again, soon as the guy from the nhbc got off the site the manager got the brickys to finish off the brick-work to roof hight and stuck the roof on so no one could see down the caverty and to this day its still like that.the first house on the right as you came in was the show house and on the bay window at the front the pvc windows did-not fit between the stone pillows so they riped about 1" off the sides of the windows so they would fit.all builders are the same, always buy a house that is about 10yrs old as everythink has been done, never buy new as you will have one problem after a nother.

I Have Actually Lived In My Home Less Than 2 Years

I have actually lived in my home less than 2 years. We purchased a brand new Bryant home in Bathgate, west Lothian. Wester inch. A fantastic new estate close to the motorway. Everything was fine at first (the first few weeks|) then water under the floorboards in the kitchen - fixed- then again -fixed- sills were not clean - not fixed- but promised to fix lintels not painted well - not fixed - but promised. I suppose it was my fault as we were dealing with the site managers at the time. I appreciated they were very busy and trusted them to return to the job in hand especially as we had not complained too much we only asked and let them do it at there own pace. Then they left. Bryant customer service department - Sandra - customer service manager ha ha. As time went on we had a leak when the plumber arrived the state above the ceiling was a disgrace, this had been patched up before and nailed in with skirting boards. For months we have had condensation in our en-suite they kept repainting put in a new fan cause we went on and on about it. then - wait for it - Its your lifestyle that is causing the mould spores on the ceiling and then wall - not the fact that something was wrong. Sandra then changed to the spec routine- its done to spec so we are doing nothing. Complain and ask for the MD no way she wont give you the details. Managed to get someone else out. I wont forget you I will get a new switch put into allow the fan to run longer - he forgot us and never put in a new switch. Shower now not working properly the plumber says it needs replaced - Bryant say its wear and tear. even although the shower has a 2 year warranty. again no support from Bryant. will I ever buy a Bryant home again NO NO NO will I ever recommend a Bryant home NO NO NO.. Customer service - Sandra - needs training and must learn how to deal with customers properly. She has let the company down in a big way. Thanks Bryant and SANDRA for nothing.. Oh P.S don't contact NHBC cause she will hold it against you. She will also turn everything around and make you out to be a lier. All contracters tell you when they are on site about the issues ( are they scared of Bryant)

Buy any other home other than BRYANT or buy BRYANT at your peril.

still maybe the MD will contact me this week -Or Not

The Build Of My 3 Bedroom House Is Of A Much Bette

The build of my 3 bedroom house is of a much better quality to others in the area, there are 6 new build developments locally and in comparrison Bryant is much better than most of them.

The house is more spacious and with large gardens compared to tiny gardens in the same type of 3 bed on others builders sites.

The Sales team tried to manipulate my mortgage and solicitors, which I refused to do and went independantly, which saved me 20k on my valuation which eventually after being told No way they agreed! Taylor wimpey offered to pay for a new mortgage and valuation with a company of their choice to get the asking price! If they think your inexperienced they will pounce!

There has been a fair amount of snagging but mostly with the trades brought in, but dealt with very quickly. The site manager is helpful and wants my home to be perfect and actually helps. The snagging that has been done when I am not there has resulted in further work due to trades not tidying up or damaging things, but when been present can not fault them. All in all I would recomend

We Resserved A Bryant Homes House In Exelsior Gate

We resserved a bryant homes house in exelsior gate motherwell and thought we were getting a good deal as bryant agreed to take our own house in part exchange and also gave us 10k off the asking price so we reserved in april 09. The house was going to be ready in september. We heard nothing until august despite our solicitor sending countless letters to try and conclude missives(contracts) their legal dep. finally started doing things in september very slowly and bryant then told us our new house wouldnt be ready till december/january. They eventually began to market our old house late october despite still dragging their heels over exchaning contracts and after our house was on the market for 3 weeks they dropped the asking price by 10 grand without telling us and then pulled out of the deal altogether a few days later keeping our reservation fee and leaving us out of pocket for all our legal fees. Moral of the story is do not trust taylor wimpey. A total waste of our hard earned cash and a waste of 7 months were we could have had our house on the market.

We Have Had Problems With Leaks In Our Property Fr

We have had problems with leaks in our property from Bryant Homes - although they have been fixed - getting compensation for damages is proving a nightmare - although they have accepted liability - the complaints and after care service is less than poor -

I Bought From Bryant Homes About A Year Ago On A N

I bought from Bryant homes about a year ago on a nearly built development in south Cheshire. The homes compared to the other house builders looked much better quality and were surrounded by large areas of open space this quality though came at a price for a first time buyer like me. It cost me £165,000 for a 3 bed house.
