How Vivaciti (j And V Data) Lost In Court But Won't Pay Up!
Vivaciti (J and V data services ltd) violated every possible rules and regulations in their scheme to ransom money from me by holding my internet as hostage. Long story short, after much dispute, they sued me, I countersued, I won, judge ordered them to pay, and they won't pay.
What I have learned is Vivaciti (J and V data) is run by people who will consistently and wilfully neglected and violated all manners of legislations, regulations, processes, protocols, and completely abandon all common sense and all basic business ethics, the entire setup (e.g. they freely editing their web based T&C) is designed for foul play, I was targeted by these foul play and extortion techniques, my internet was held for ransom while they suspended my internet, trapping me by blocking my migration, prevented me seeking help on forums with threats and lies, freely changing the T&C, abused my data, violated my privacy, denied me from ADR, harassed me for absurd amounts, they have proven to be completely unreasonable, and absolutely corrupt.
Just want to share a story of how this company did all the wrong things and then lost in court, ordered to pay, and now won't pay up.
Vivaciti (J and V data) was my ISP since 2013, but in December 2015 I was moving to a different place hence had to move my broadband with me. I was quoted £8 for the move but was billed many extra items afterwards. I disputed the bill, but then Vivaciti proceeded to: (in no chronological order)
- immediately suspend my internet
- ironically, continue to communicate to me with emails
- "no pay, no internet"
- fabricated a 12 month contract to try to charge me extra (I was on a monthly contract)
- blocked my migration to another ISP (very against OFCOM codes) to trap me
- and on top of that suddenly terminating my service permanently with zero notice (so now I cannot migrate and have to pay extra for line reactivation)
- exposed my personal data on a public forum (data protection don't allow this)
- threatened to sue me because of me sharing some of the emails
- socially engineered a forum thread to close down thereby stopping me from getting help (a typical tactic in ransom)
- stalked me on social media which is very against data protection rules (data collection) imagine the jump scare when "[name redacted] from J and V data has viewed your profile"
- lied to ADR saying the case was closed to make them dismiss my complain (but eventually I got to ADR the second time)
- sent debt collection after me and harassed me for payment of arbitrary and absurd amounts
- falsifying T&C in stealth by editing their website to match their narratives (luckily I had screenshots)
- and then sued me in small claim purely as scare tactic to divert my second ADR attempt (although the ADR succeeded and I was offered compensation, it was well into the court process, too little too late)
I countersued. I printed out all the emails and screenshots and went to the court hearing.
And then I won. Now Vivaciti (J and V data) owes me £351. But now they won't pay up.
The judge ordered the amount to be paid on or before 25 April 2017, but no payment so far.

Avoid At All Costs
This firm used to be ok but is now terrible. I am getting 2 different invoices each month. I constantly have to check my direct debits as they often overcharge , then have the hassle of getting a refund. I was under the impression I was on a monthly rtollong contract but when requested to leave was told I had to pay 75% of the remaining 9 months cost

To Scared To Use My Vivaciti Web Hosting Now - Help
Desperate for help please - To scared to use my Vivaciti web hosting now
IP address keeps getting blocked by vivaciti firewall
For the past few days I am continually having my IP address blocked by my free web hosting service at vivaciti. Who ever the person is at the other end, seem to just keep repeating there is some "Odd Stuff" or some "Odd file Requests" But I tried to explain all I was doing, downloading (Free software) stuff like you find at Softaculous. Dotclear, open-blog, Textpattern Etc (as I was looking to install a blog). Here is what I was doing, downloading the blog software, un-packing on my HDD, then uploading it with-in Filezilla to my web hosting, and installing it. (OK hands up, I did do a few in one day). Or making a personal back up first (of my site first), But this is all in the Error Log, right. I asked could they explain more, but all I keep getting is :-
The IP block has been removed but looking at the logs some "odd stuff" was going on through your connection to the web server. Can anyone please explain what is "ODD STUFF"? as I am no expert at 54 years old and a dippy female - but for a person (who is a server expert) and to keep repeating the same thing over and over, to me seem's as if they are confused.
Here is what I believe was wrong :-
Could I have been doing too much activity on the server account? and triggered some sort of attack? Or could my ISP have seen to much or many ports being connected and to much data and triggered some sort of malicious behavior to result in me not being able to connect to my server's forums/sites etc? Or excessive connectivity/activity to the server originating from the same IP. I was able to access the internet, google, and other internet sites, also my web hosting cPANEL but nothing else at vivaciti. They finally unblocked me, and again repeated the same "odd stuff was going on through your connection to the web server and looking through the access logs, we are seeing some very odd file requests coming from your IP address".
AGAIN I repeated,
All I was doing was downloading, blog software like open-blog, dotclear Etc un-packing and uploading via filezilla then installing and testing to see if I like it or not.
I am now afraid or to scared to sign in to my website because I not sure, what if it happened again and this person start throwing allegations, accusing me, or Bulling me again. So now I just am to scared because of this vivaciti bulling.
Can anyone help me please? My friend said ask vivaciti to white-list your IP, but I am to afraid to even ask, e-mail or suggest it now. After being with them since 2009 I do not really want to leave, but over the last few weeks (2 months) things seem to be getting them down with there personal problems and customers are suffering or getting the Blunt of things.
Many thanks to you for advice and help in adviance.

Vivaciti My Experience
So on the face of it it looked a good static ip deal, until the repeated unusable connection or ghosting on network meaning you couldn't log in.
Over a week of no internet access and no compensation as you pay asdl not service.
The final straw they give me notice of change to another provider and login details, only to tell me that the service isn't available and I can either choose another product or migrate.
So this evening without warning my website goes down, I've been given a mac code and am in process of moving to zen active as I wait to see if my dad will regain consciousness in intensive care.
So my advice is avoid vivaciti like the plague, they are neither cheap reliable or customer focused.
We would not just white list your IP address if you are sending mal-formed data streams to your webhosting account this could cause issues with the webserver as a hole so the firewall has blocked the IP as it is designed to do.
I am sorry we are no longer able to provide a service to you, but we have release all contracts and given MACs were requested.
Looking at your account with us you don't host your web site with us, so how and why your website would have issues I am afraid we could not answer, it may be better to direct your review over your website issues to the company the manages and hosts your website.
Vivaciti
I have just had very bad experience regarding my Ip being blocked in the firewall related to the (free) web hosting. Who ever the tech person was basically said I was Lying (not once but twice) here is the e-mail(s) I got:
(1st e-mail) Can we ask what you are doing when the IP gets blocked as looking through the access logs we are seeing some very odd file requests coming from your IP address.
(2nd e-mail)The IP block has been removed but looking at the logs some odd stuff was going on through your connection to the web server
Both times I asked (who-ever) will not give there name, what do they/he/her mean by odd? As twice I explained, I was looking for a Blog or some kind of posting software (free) like open source stuff dotclear, open-blog etc if reading sounded good download the software unpacked, ftp using filezilla then installing it.
And that was it. OK maybe I connected a few times in the same day. But that's not weird or ODD STUFF is it? So why do they just not WHITE-LIST my fixed IP address. Insteading of trying to say i am Lying.

Pros:
"They have always sorted out the problem, the support people know their stuff". And most of all there Enta package has been rock solid at 3.8Mb.
Cons
When I signed up 2 years ago the communication was a little on the briefside. Just be sure you know what you want as they resell a number of packages some IMHO better than others after trying their LLU via Murphex that was worse than the orginal Enta Package I was on a moved back to their Enta.
I good ISP with knowledgeable staff not script monkies.
If you cut static ip address then the server on the end will cease to have internet access
If you want to throw your toys out of the pram then you are barking up the wrong tree, I just work here, and I sleep well at night with the knowledge that I do all I can to help people.
I would thank you to not send anything further to my email address.

I have been with Vivaciti for more then a year now. I've never had any issue with them. They provide the service what they advertise and you sign up. The customer service is brilliant and their "ticket system" to solve problems is working flawlessly. I highly recommend Vivaciti to everybody who want a very reliable service both speed-wise and customer service. By the way! I'm on the LLU Unlimited package.

Had Vivaciti for a month now, i live in an area where the only service is ADSL Max, so took Enta service on Home 60 and can say i am very pleased, the fact you get 60GB peak usage and unlimited off peak is great, and as i only used shy of 20GB during peak i have downgraded to Home 30, very happy with speeds and as i can turn interleaving off my xbox live is perfect 24/7. great service.

Migrated To Vivaciti On The 8th From Enta After Th
migrated to Vivaciti on the 8th from Enta after their throttling shenanigins and what a difference, admittedly i am now on LLU (75GB package via Tiscali tail)but speed is constant 24/7 so far.
Had a few doubts about a service using anything to do with T but shouldnt have, Vivaciti run all the main connection.
Support has been good when needed via their own forum,pre-sale enquiries answered in good time and after sales queries sorted as well.
