The Boathouse, Ely

The Boathouse is in a great setting. We had a drink sitting by the river before eating inside.

The all girl waiting staff were well trained, friendly, attentive and very efficient.

My only reason was not giving 5 stars for value was the 'bangers and mash'-a house speciality. This should be a large filling meal but the small portion of mash was a bit of a disappointment.

I took my girlfriend to the Boathouse for a Valentine's meal. Our lunch was excellent and great value - the £15 3 course menu is highly recommended. Good soup (apple and parsnip), delicious mutton chop and beef main courses and gorgeous sticky toffee pudding dessert. Service was charming. If I am ever in Ely again, I would jump at the chance to return here.

Great place for a special occasion as situated by the river. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, brilliant menu, tasty tucker, why wait go and enjoy, now!

Tasty well presented 2 course lunch for two with drinks came to only £34 excellent value for money. Would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.
