Al Vicolo, Guildford

I visited al Vicolo during lunch time and tasted one of the fixed-set menus comprising starter/main meal/desert. The reataurant is situated in the centre of Guidfford between North Street and Hig Street. As in most restaurants the choice for a fixed-price menue was understandably limited. The food was very good and good value for money. The service was a bit on the slow side which was rather surprising bearing in mind it was not all that busy. I chose to end my meal with a coffee, a double espresso, for which I was charged £3.15. This is undoubtedly the worst cup of coffee I have ever tasted in Guildford. It was completely devoid of 'crema' and of below average quality. For this reason I am unable to recommend this restaurant

Lovely place and the food is fantastic. The service was OK and it might be out of some people's budgets for a normal meal out but the good was well worth it. We will be going back!

The Sardinian style sea bream it's a must!

Al Vicolo, Guildford has excellent food, good service and friendly staff. The risotto it's a must.

Great food, friendly atmosphere. But it can get quite hot up stairs in summer. It's easily my favourite restaurant in Guildford, try the Risotto or the Sea Bass.

Excellent and central position convenient for car parks and taxis.
