Poor Quality And Poor Customer Service

Not wanting a free standing microwave on the surface as I didn’t have room, I opted for a combination microwave oven with a normal single oven below in a tower kitchen unit. They are both CDA appliances, both with their individual clock display. I set both clocks at exactly the same time, but after 24 hours the single oven clock was a minute slower...I corrected it. I did this for three days..each day it lost a minute. I then left it for 3 days and it continued to lose a minute a day, each day. I used the combination micro/ oven for the first time and the noise of the fan was so bad I turned it off and used the large single oven below. The fan noise was equally as bad when I used the microwave. The door catch on the microwave also needed to be pushed shut with greater force than should be necessary for the appliance to register that the door was closed. I rang CDA....and discussed the problem....that was after a 27 minute wait to talk to someone. I have to date had two engineer visits....the appliances are just one month old to date. Neither problem has been sorted and on the last visit the engineer decided that the chassis of the oven was twisted and I cannot use it as the door won’t close properly. The engineer also told me that I would struggle to get the ovens recording the same time as it was a problem he had come across a fair few times as they were separate ovens rather than a double oven, apparently...according to the engineer they are made in different factories and this is part of the problem....I am simply repeating this, but with regards to the last point, I have no proof as yet that this is the case. In the fifth week of ownership...I’m now have only one oven and no microwave and am still waiting to hear what they are going to do about it. I may simply have been unlucky with this particular purchase, but if you are purchasing separate appliances like this, the question about the time keeping may be worth asking before you end up with it in your kitchen
