It's Hard Not To Like Gibsons Grey Lady Restaurant
It's hard not to like Gibsons Grey Lady restaurant in Newtown Linford. Lots of small candles are reflected in crystal. Flounced fabric and pewter make you feel that you are in another world. Staff can't do enough for you.
The food was good. Beef Wellington was wonderfully succulent and tasty, and it was carved at our table. But the plate was heaped up... the way people used to heap plates at carverys. Vegetables were cooked to perfection, but we couldn't manage to finish them.
My pudding was very elaborate and a bit over sweet. What a pity, when they try so hard.
It may seem confusing but I was trying to be balanced - glad you enjoyed the restaurant.
Further to being confused---------- I too had beef Wellington but I told the waitress when there was sufficient on the plate RECOMMENDED
