Very Poor Customer Service
this company made a hash of my bookjng, failed to give any information, no receit of money paid.They cost me £200 the day before my cruise.I had to go to a local travel agent to find out which dock the ship would be sailing from. I have complained to the company and never got a reply.This matter is now in the hands of my solicitor.No wonder they are going under according to today's paper.
well i hope the loss of 50 or so jobs makes the burden easier to bear

i have never booked a holiday on the internet before however after booking with Gills cruises i will book with them again the staff couldnt have been more helpfull well done gills well done to everyone i dealt with you all made it very easy for me who isnt very competent on the internet i am still learning i hope the holiday goes as well as your efficiency and friendliness

I Booked A Cruise For 8 People Using Gill's Cruise
I booked a cruise for 8 people using Gill's cruise centre. The whole experience was, and continues to be,horrendous.
Booking confirmations were not dealt with correctly.Numerous members of admin staff seemed clueless as to what to do re enquiries.
Numerous telephone calls and e-mails ..not replied to.
Letter regarding move to London of admin team, then all correspondence from Cardiff.
8 days prior to sailing , we had received no tickets, boarding cards, coach transfers....a complete shambles.
Cruise (MSC Opera) then cancelled...not Gill's fault, but now worried about having to deal with them all over for refunds etc.
I've cruised 12 times........never use this company again, and strongly advise you not to.
There won't be any problem now as they have gone under!

this is a review of Gills Cruise company -not the cruise line I went with. All started well - took my details, very efficient and I thought had noted down all I had told him. 2 months later had email confirmation with docs to print - important details wrong. I then spent the next week trying to get through, on hold on an 0845 number, before finally succumbing to send an email. Guess what? no answer. I finally got through the following week and spoke to a guy who couldn't put two english sentences together. I told him my details but really didn't think he had any idea what I was talking about. So, yet another email - no answer. Finally as I am going in a couple of days, I hung on the phone for 20mins (please wait - your call is important to us)and finally spoke to a person who obviously didn't have a clue what she was doing. Kept putting me on hold to talk to her supervisor. now comes down to 'she will contact me within 48 hrs'. I go very early Tuesday morning,what's the betting I will be on the phone permanently hanging on on Monday? Avoid this company like the plague.

We Booked A Caribbean Cruise With P&o Through Gill
We booked a caribbean cruise with P&O through Gills. Thought their service was good and consistant. The cruise aboard Ventura exceeded our expectations. However, the entertainment fell far below that which I would expect. The exception being the ships company, exceptional. We have booked a further cruise with P&O and via Gills.

We Found Ventura To Be A Bit Too Large For Us - Ot
We Found Ventura to be a bit too large for us - otherwise had no complaints, we enjoyed it, and excellent tours.We would like to go on a smaller P&O next time, maybe to the far east or panama canal. Booked with Gills Cardiff office, this was our first cruise and staff there outlined all aspects, recommended the dining option and cabin placement, and all proved to be correct choices.

Friendly And Helpful Booking Agent At Gills Cruise
Friendly and helpful booking agent at gills cruises, knowledgeable with our queries. Excellent friendly staff on The Braemar, especially in the Thistle dining room. First cruise with friends (party of 4) - balcony set up worked v well and added to enjoyment. Varied menu, staff efficient - an accident with bottle of wine showed how experienced they were - within a minute we were all transferred to another table with minimum of fuss - well done to manager in charge of section & waiters. Professional entertainers were quite poor but Fred Olsen group v good.

Azura Was The Largest Ship We Have Used, But Overa
Azura was the largest ship we have used, but overall, excellent! Dhiran was really good as our cabin steward. We Thought excursions were quite expensive so ended up using local taxi services at half the price. This was the First time we'd used gills cruise centre - booked with Paul - and found them very helpful & polite & informative, ring back as promised, no problem.

Fantastic 2nd Leg Of South American Cruise On Blac
Fantastic 2nd leg of South American cruise on Black Watch, and excellent staff on board. Very disappointing entertainment - Black Watch company didn't perform often, and some of the others were pretty weak. The Local dance troupes were very good however. Think Black Watch is looking a little dog-eared generally, though our cabin was nice - Gills Cruises gave a very swift response to upgrade us as soon as a balcony cabin became available. Our Next cruise to Caribbean again, possibly to include Cuba.
