They do not provide the service they sign you up to, but as they get you to sign a guarantee they can just not bother to collect your debts and then sue you personally. BEWARE IT HAS JUST COST ME MY BUSINESS.

complaints dept never phoned back. simply they do not want to know when things are wrong. To them you are just a monthly repayment. you can even inspect the goods they claim are of serviceable quality.

Applied for the first time for a personal loan online as I was enticed by the low interest rate offered by Hitachi Finance. Entered in all my personal and bank details up to the last step and when I submitted my application it immediately decided that it is "Denied". I have a great credit score, stable job, no other loans or debt etc.

Avoid this. Waste of time. False hope.

companies like hitachi do not care if your late with payments sure theyll happily wait for you to pay and reschedule and charge you a lot of interest on top if you screw up so be warned my loan had an extra 1000 added because i lost my job so no option to hold payments really pay or else customer service is pretty poor after i paid them in full i was still messaged about paying up....but id paid the full amount lol make sure you get the letter thatsays loan paid off in full folks avoid loans stick with your bank or save up

I applied for a loan with this company. Application declined (fair enough). Next day receive call from a strange company. Goes through all my details and can give me a loan with a excessive APR well over 10%. Told him I can borrow of MBNA for 4.9% straight into my account with no transfer fee. Also wrote to Hitachi about my circumstances as my old car was written off and I am awaiting a settlement cheque. No reply received. Second time I have had really bad service from Hitachi, although I did use them years ago with Optical Express and they seemed okay. Very much an automated process it would seem. I also did not agree to my details being sent to the third party loan shark and I find this inappropriate.

Hitachi is a company to avoid firstly the the rate they quote changes making them liars secondly they pass your details to third party. i could not belief a so called "freedom Finance" calling my work place and my mobile just to confirm my details they had all my personal detail this is so wrong to the highest level but then they are preying on vulnerable people because they know you need the money.

If you have a good credit score please get a reputable bank or lender.

I have a company car with Hitachi Capital and just felt the need to say how terrible their customer service is. Every time it has been necessary to call them to have routine maintenance arranged, the operator has been abrupt and the service unsatisfactory. An online portal is offered which in theory should remove the need to speak to their staff but unfortunately it doesn't work properly. I reported a specific problem a year ago when I last called and a year later it is still not working. Owning a company car should be hassle free but I dread the moment I have to engage with Hitachi about anything.

HAVE BEEN WITH THEM SEVERAL MONTHS. GOT TWI A/Cs. NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT. PAID BY D/D ON THE 27 OF EACH MONTH WITHOUT FAIL.ON A INTEREST FREE AGREEMENT

I TRANSFER THE MONEY INTO THE A/C T HE D/D IS PAID FROM A FEW DAYS BEFORE IT IS DUE.

HOWEVER ON THE 26 AUGUST 2015. I HAD TO GO INTO HOSPITAL. AND NO ONE ELSE COULD TRANSFER THE MONEY FOR ME.

SO I EMAILED HITACHI REQUESTING IF THIS PAYMENT DUE ON THE 27 AUGUST. COULD BE PAID ON THE 3 AUGUST.

FOR THIS MONTH ONLY.. THEN AS USUAL ON THE 27th OF EACH MONTH. THEREAFTER'

HEARD NOTHING ALTHOUGH I WAS UNABLE GET MY LAPTOP. WHEN I GOT HOME FROM HOSPITAL THERE WAS NO REPLY FROM THEM.

THERE WAS A DEFAULT NOTICE POSTED THROUGH THE DOOR.. DO NOT USE HITACHI FINANCE. DONT BE TEMPTED BY THEIR BATE. INTEREST FREE CREDIT.

IVE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE. ALWAYS PAY EVERYTHING ON TIME.

IT WASNT I COULDNT PAY. I COULD NOT TRANSFER FROM HOSPITAL.

I AM 72 AND DISGUSTED WITH THEM. I HAVE COMPLAINED HIGHER, AND CONACTED THE OMBUDSMAN. THEY CANNOT GET AWAY WITH THIS, THERES SUCH A THIN AS DISCRESION. COMMON SENSE.EMPATHY. THEY HAVE NOTHING'
