My Experience At Patrick Guilbaud, Dublin: Fi
My experience at Patrick Guilbaud, Dublin:
First: our table was in the corner, which was fine, but my chair wobbled due to an uneven floor. This is a Michelin starred restaurant with uneven floors - bad start.
Secondly, sparce food! My starter arrived and it was so small I thought there was some mistake.
I thought the tap water had a metallic odour and didn't taste pure (I don't like ordering bottled water for environmental reasons)
My main (venison) was tough and again too small a portion for me. I filled the gap with three pieces of bread that were also disappointing.
I found there just wasn't enough food, perhaps I ordered badly, but that's not really a good enough excuse in Dublin's best restaurant - all courses should be exceptional in my opinion.
I am more than happy to pay top dollar for great food but I left feeling I didn't get value for money.
