Biggest Mistake Of My Life Was Changing To Pdsa Insurance.

Do NOT change your insurance to PDSA…

Small prints in the policy..

WE CAN CHANGE YOUR POLICY AT OUR DISCRETION AND REFUSE HONOURING YOUR CLAIM…..

1. If you have seen your vet in the 12 months prior to discuss fleas….

WE WILL NOT PAYOUT FOR ANY ITCHY SKIN COMPLAINTS… this includes AnalFiscula Problems.

2. If you have seen your vet to talk about nutrition….

THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY OUT ON ANY STOMACH PROBLEMS

3. If you have seen your vet because of a “grass seed”. Maybe stuck in the ear, eye or paw..

THIS COMPANY WILL NOT HONOUR YOUR CLAIM..

4. Now you’re thinking…. I have not taken my perfectly healthy dog to the vet for anything….

THE PDSA INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT HONOUR YOUR CLAIM… because you have a healthy pet that has never needed to see a vet before..

ALWAYS READ YOUR POLICY…

Not The Best Insurance

When our pet insurance was up for renewal we decided that we would get a quote from pdsa which at the time was good due to the low payments to fit out finances which at first seemed a good idea but then when we needed to contact them regarding a claim at first we were told we could claim on it but when my partner rang them back up we were told that we couldn't make a claim for the problem that our cat was having when we contacted them to make a claim we were told we couldn't due to an on going issue bearing in mine we never made a claim with our other insurance so be care full when making a claim as they will say one thing and do another just glad that it's been cancelled and going with a much better insurance and certainly won't be using these again !!!!!!

Pdsa

Old age does not mean wisdom in life. Saying that an older man is stupid makes sense. I took out insurance with PDSA, deceived by the positive opinions, and paid about £1,300 for veterinary care and premiums. The refund is 0 (null)—changing the policy during the current validity period to a provision stating that no compensation will be paid in the event of this type of disease recurrence.

Disgrace

If I would give PDSA insurance no stars if I could. They claim not to have received my vet’s submission back in March. It is now May the 5th,so definitely not within their advertised twenty days. However, giving them the benefit of the doubt I asked my vet to resubmit the claim for my cat.The following day,I contacted PDSA to learn that they had rejected the claim on the basis that there was a pre-existing condition. I was flabbergasted that I had heard nothing for almost two months and yet in less than twenty four hours they had rejected the claim. My cat had an ear operation last year which they also rejected. This year ,in March he was ill with kidney problem and the bill was hefty. This I have also paid, expecting the company to honour the claim . Do not trust this company. They are not interested in covering your pet’s health costs.I made the mistake of expecting a charity to at least care. Nothing could be further from the truth.Avoid!!

Cheaper To Go Private

I thought the P.D.S.A. were animal lovers yet when it comes to vaccines for all your pets and care for a second pet they charge around three times what a private vet would. seems they are more money lovers than animal lovers.

Beware

Normally an insurance policy covers costs other than agreed excess. NOT the PDSA pet insurance.

If they judge that your vet is charging too much for medicines or services they will not pay.

Therefore beware as you will not only be liable for excess you will also be billed for items such as Metacam, etc.

You will not be made aware until you make a claim.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from any company

You Are Rubbish

Spoke with the claims team for the umpteenth time on 17/03, was told they had everything they required to assess my claim and it would take 7-10 days. I have chased several times, sent emails, sms messages and no one came back to me. I then spent my valuable time on a call with them yesterday was told there was a missing invoice from the vets which had been chased 3 times. Called the vets they said they sent it at first request and had no records of any calls chasing this. Then today I got an email saying history was missing from previous vet despite the fact that I was on the call with the customer rep on the 17/03 when she confirmed the history had come through on email. The vets resent just now to the exact same email address and like magic its suddenly there this time. Had a proper reason to complain and just got fobbed off. Now told its going to take another 7-10 days.

Just a rubbish service.

Unbelievable

Being threatened with debt collectors because we didn't sign the renewal contract and cancelled our direct debit because we no longer required the insurance now we have to make phone calls that we cannot afford due to the fact that PDSA cannot see that if a renewal is not signed and direct debit is not active that the product is not desired the reason we do not wish to renew is because price went up by quite a few pound and admin charges were just ridiculous I would not recommend and will not be returning ..

Just Shoddy

A claim was submitted and we received a selection of disjointed emails then one rejecting the claim, emailed asked why and no response. Found the email address head of PDSA and that email was forwarded on to a complaints department who agreed the rejection was wrong in 2 hours and that the emails sent were poor quality however these are all "standard" emails set up in the system.

Fantastic Customer Service, And Prompt Claim Resolution.

PDSA have been fantastic in resolving our claim; quickly, efficiently with no fuss or hassle.

I found the staff to be very compassionate, caring and I was updated as to every step of our claim process.

I'd recommend them in an instant, and will continue to use them with any other pets that join our family :-)
