Tevion LCD32091D

Came on here as I bought this TV for my parents in 2007 before I went abroad, TV still going perfect and I have just bought them a Alba 32" HD TV as they upgraded their SKY to HD box.

Parents said they loved it and were happy with the picture and so was I when I visited.

Now selling it to get them some cash as it is still in excellent condition and has all its equipment with it, so I guess they got a good one of the batch that didn't do so well

Its a cheap TV from Aldi, fair enough you get what you pay for. What annoys me in particular is the design of the scart connections - you plug them in upside down. I don't know if they have heard of gravity in Ireland, but that tends to make the things drop out! Any movement of the TV loses the sound if not the picture as well due to the scart dropping loose. A complete pain in the a**e fiddling about pushing them up again.

As long as a fly doesn't land on it it's acceptable as a second TV.

WE bought a Tevion 32inch tv in Aldi just six weeks ago. The screen went blank tonight indicating that the light on the screen had gone. Disgusted that this has happened with a tv just 6weeks old. Now have to contact thehelpline number tomorrow and go through the rigmorole of trying to get a replacement telly or preferably our money back. surely one deserves a full refund with a defunct TV.

I bought a Tevion 43" DVB-T LCD TV, I had it 13 months and the on off switch went this was on the 9th April 2009, it is now the 25th April 2009, and I still don't have a tv, I have been told the parts are on order, I must point out this is not a fault on the local repair shop, but on the fact that he has to order the parts from Tevion, so I have to wait with NO tele, so much for the Aldi three year warranty.

At first price then thought what did I get for my money, A CHEAP TV SET,at present do not see any good points.

Picture not as sharp or defined as it could be,the screen keeps moving,lght gray/white now also all colours green on football pitch,blacks not a nice picture.

I am now on my third replacement set for the same fault,tried my daughters philips in same set up for scarts etc never gave any problem. Phoned the shop and spoke to the mangeress requesting refund and she argued there was nothing wrong with the Tevion LCD32091D,why change them as easily if there is no problem.

Picture not very good when people move it is like watching football through a net curtain. Tried to call the help line before Xmas and was told that the engineer would not be available until 2nd Jan and would call between 10-12midday. Sat in but no call. Called them in the afternoon and they said the engineer would not be in until Monday 5th Jan, waited for the call... and waited, so called back and they say it was not listed for a call. Was told we could expect a call Tuesday between 4pm and 8pm ... waitied and waited.... called them Wed 7th Jan and was told the engineer would call back in 10 mins. 1-15pm still waiting... Realy annoyed now so will be taking it back to the shop and will be writing to the head office...

I haven't explored all the features fully yet, but for the price I've yet to receive any surprises unpleasant enough to warrant complaint. Maybe when I actually receive HD TV! At this price I could afford another when I've found what features I'm missing, and still have change from High St prices of similar sized sets.
