Further Update Only Wifes 1.6 Tekna Auto

Further update on my wifes 1.6 tekna auto, have put in the k & n air filter, slight improvement in mpg but not huge. Well happy with the car, very reliable, great car to drive. Just had MOT at Arnold Clark where we got it from & failed on drivers wiper blade & drivers side headlight alignment. AC wanted £27 for wiper blade & £15 to adjust headlight, got the wiper for £6 Bosch from Eurocarparts & fitted it in 30 secs, went to local kwik fit re headlight & car was on ramp for 2 mins & did not charge us saying they had adjusted both headlights slightly, went back to AC for retest & receptionist when giving us the MOT cert stated the tester had adjusted the headlight it had failed on, advised her that this was strange as I'd just an hour before had the light adjusted at kwik fit. This is why I never trust anyone in the motor trade! Anyhow got it through the MOT for £6, no charge for the MOT as I had a voucher for free MOT from Arnold Clark from when we bought the car. Had this car now for 8 months, certainly would buy another tekna spec car as they are gorgeous inside, very spacious & well built. Next fix is a good quality oil change & Denso sparkplugs if I can get for the right price. K & N filter will save £, getting one of these for my diesel Grand Picasso too. This car is by far the best small car/ small auto I've ever driven by miles, I would say these are overlooked by younger people as many are mobility & used by older folks. I'm telling you now try one, cheaper, better equipped than lots of smaller cars out there.

Excellent Nissan Note Tekna Automatic!

Had this car now for nearly 6 months, have reviewed twice, once when owned for 1 day having paid £5000 for a 57 plate 28000 miler. This is just a great car, getting 38 mpg mixed driving which is fine. Always make sure tyre pressure correct. Currently needs air filter as other one dirty (Nissan genuine part is £20+ so am putting in a K & N at £42, no extra performance but long life & said to be good, it's a simple slot in panel filter which will take 30 seconds to put in). Not needing a service til December 2011 & only done 2500 miles since last service just prior to our purchase. Oil still clean but will replace with Valvoline oil & maybe a genuine Nissan oil filter along with some iridium NGK or Denso spark plugs.

Have priced up Nissan servicing & it's pricey so thought may as well buy the best quality service parts I can & give it the best service for less £. This is my wifes car so usually has our 3 kids in (one on the way so that will make 4), will still be plenty of space. This car is excellent & is very well looked after. Cruises along at 80mph with much to spare, very practical, leather interior is gorgeous (recently treated with Autoglym leather cream & looking new). One of the weak points is the alloys (front) seem to corrode a bit quicker than rears. Well happy with this car, would buy another. Will report later when K & N fitted to see if improved mpg. Been pricing up tyres, seem a bit pricey but not doing many miles so won't be too much of a problem. Been pricing up service parts on Eurocarparts & seem good prices.

Update On Previous Review When I'd Owned Our Nissa

Update on previous review when I'd owned our Nissan Note tekna auto for a day, I'm very impressed with this car indeed. This car is just great, pretty decent on unleaded, getting around 38 mpg with mixed driving. The main thing I can say is these motors are outstanding value for money, the spec is huge & my three kids aged 4, 6 & 7 absolutely love it, part leather, picnic tables, headrests, arm rests etc..... I love driving this car, the engine and gearbox are super smooth & if pushed the note has a good turn of speed although remember anyone complaining about performance these are not sports cars but use the big engine/ small car combination with the auto gearbox which also has an overdrive button for cruising. I have recommended and a friends father has just bought one & is also very happy. If your after a great little auto this is it!

Just Bought A 57 Plate Tekna Auto. Very Impressed,

Just bought a 57 plate tekna auto. Very impressed, paid £5000 with 28 thou on clock & fsh mobility. The spec on these cars is huge & very practical. These are a really well designed little car that's very spacious inside. Very responsive quiet engine. Only had it today & like it's looks & was specifically after a tekna. Read lots about them prior to buying, ride is a little choppy over bumps as other reviews. Super smooth engine & gbox. Seems solidly built. Like all of the colours for the Note. Done some research too with Nissan and gbox does not need a service as it's sealed for life! Will report further at a later date. Lots of reviews on YouTube. Plenty of choice out there & 57 plates can be had for £5000 roughly.

One Of The Best Cars I Have Owned, No Problems In

One of the best cars I have owned, no problems in 3 years 42 mpg on average

, well kitted out, comfortable nd reliable. Excellent customer service from dicksons of Inverness so much so I have just ordered a new note from them - diesel tekna this time

Original car was chosen due to the practical nature of the care that suited our purposes

Roomy for 4 ( 5 at a stretch)

Economical

Tyres a bit of a problem with limited choice

Luggage room - adequate

Lots of "toys" as standard

Supporting British workers

2 Entirely Trouble Free Years. Practicality Is Sup

2 entirely trouble free years. Practicality is supurb (can easily take 4 adults and a reasonable amount of luggage) and the Note is extremely quiet and refined. Only negative is the lack of a clutch foot rest (ours is SE spec) and a slight boom around 80mph from the engine. The 1.6lt engine is quite sprightly around town and is more than capable of keeping up with motorway traffic. We are averaging around 38 MPG which is not quite what Nissan promises but most manufacturers figures are optimistic. The kids love the secret hiding places and trays on the back of the rear seats. The trim is not soft touch but is very hard wearing and after 55K there is not a mark on it. In addition the car does not have a single squeak or rattle.I usually take this instead of my BMW 1 series as it is alltogether a better car and much more reliable as well.

Got A Nissan Note 1.4 Petrol In 2007 After 2 Weeks

Got a Nissan note 1.4 petrol in 2007 after 2 weeks of driving a very loud banging noise in steering and also banging noise above right side back wheel also Door locks sticking and driver door hinge fell off.

Also 3 radios fitted to car

Engine fuel sensor had to be replaced also very bad steering problems with Car it will dive to the right when braking hard and steering will move up and down. This car cannot drive over 50 km per hour as back of car wants to pass out the front of the car and if you have 4 people in the car the note will start to weave in and out across the road

Nissan had my car for a total of 20 plus weeks and no fix as of yet

Have Had My 1.6 Tekna For 5 Months And Find It Gre

Have had my 1.6 Tekna for 5 months and find it great except for the claimed fuel figures. 42 mpg combined should really read approximately 36 mpg extra urban provided you get it into fifth at around 25 mph and keep in this gear all the time even in town where possible. Also coast wherever you can, do not go faster than 60mph and keep the revs under three thousand. And whatever you do, never boot the engine into the higher rev band otherwise you will bring down the mpg to around 29 to 30. So where the manufacturers get the claimed mpg figures from I really don ' t know!! I ran the car in very gently so there should be no problem. It has plenty of pull but on a run I can actually see the fuel gauge going down!! Very disappointing as the rest of the car I cannot fault. Maybe I should have opted for the 1.5 diesel version. If anyone has had a similar experience I would love to know.

Comfortable seating for any back sufferers. Plenty of room between front and back seats with rear seat right back. Smooth performance and pretty good accelleration if you piut your foot down. pleasing body shape and good areodynamics.

The Nissan Note Is A Lovely Car Easy To Drive Conf

The Nissan Note is a lovely car easy to drive confortable very nice to drive until? Bang the bracket snaps on the lower steering column in and out of the garage for months on end with no permanent fix from nissan if only Nissan would rectify the steering fault.
