Aqua Ristorante, Welwyn

Atmosphere was amazing and staff were very friendly but unfortunately food was very average which is a shame as its a lovely place in a lovely area, if the food was a bit better we would go back regularly as it is on our doorstep, also they do not have a specials board, whats on the menu is it, and it was the same menu as a year and a half ago

Four of us dined here on a Saturday night. Nice smart restaurant with a good atmosphere. Quality of food was good but felt that portion sizes were on the small side. They managed to mess up my starter, and the main dish, which was veal was covered in mushrooms which was not stated on the menu, which is a problem as I am allergic to them. This meant that the dish had to be returned while my companions finished their meal. They did deduct the price off the bill, but only after prompting which I felt was a bit off.

Aqua Ristorante, Welwyn, has a lovely atmosphere, family friendly, friendly and efficient waiting-staff. Good service let down by very average food, which is a shame as it's such a lovely place. I found the food is really not up to much. The pasta is generally fine but the meat comes horribly overcooked and it appears a lot of dishes are kept dying under heat lamps waiting for the rest of the order. They refuse to cook burgers rare. I head back occasionally for the atmosphere but would NEVER recommend the food here.
