No Refund After Airline Cancellation 3 Months Ago!!!!
I booked a flight with Travel Up in October 2024. On the same day, I discovered through the Turkish Airlines website that the flight had been cancelled due to operational issues. Travel Up never informed me of this cancellation.
I contacted Travel Up within 24 hours of booking to notify them and requested a full refund. I was assured in writing that the refund would be processed within 8 to 10 working days.
It has now been almost 3 months, and I am still waiting. Despite multiple follow-ups, Travel Up continues to stall, mislead, and avoid issuing my refund. They know exactly how to drag things out – even when dealing with credit card companies like AMEX. **AMEX cannot protect you from Travel Up!** Don’t fool yourself!!!!
This company’s practices feel like a sham. Even with clear confirmation of the cancellation from the airline, they refuse to take responsibility. I followed every step correctly, but Travel Up has done everything possible to block my refund.
I strongly advise against booking with Travel Up. Your money is not safe, and they will find any excuse to delay and avoid refunding you. They do not follow European regulations and will waste your time until you give up chasing your own money.
**STAY AWAY!! YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED!!**
Horrendous
The worst experience of my life booking with them. A mistake was made of date of flight, won't send recording of conversations and no refund.
There Is No Hold Baggage Including In Flight To Usa!!!
Please be very careful!!!. There was no ability to book hold luggage on the site and customer services is not able to help. I am extremely stressed and unhappy having spent £3,600 odd for 3 people!!!

Awful Customer Service. Do Not Use
I am due to travel back to the UK from Panama city Florida, via Atlanta in June. Through no fault of our own our flight from Panama has been put back one hour, meaning when we land in Atlanta we have a tight schedule of just over 1 hour to land, make our way through he airport and board our plane home.
My wife initially spoke to customer service, before handing over to me. He was next to useless when I tried to address the problem. He insisted we would have enough turn around time, 1 hour between landing and take off at Hartsfield international in Atlanta, with two of our party requiring assistance on and off the plane. He was no help whatsoever. I asked if we could move to an earlier flight from Panama city but was first told that was not possible, as I would have plenty of time to make the connecting flight, when I persevered, he told me he could move me, but we would have to pay for this, whereas Delta airline said, as it was their fault, we would not be charged. The words 'customer service' should be a clue that you are there to help the customer.
Travelup slogan should read 'Take the money and run'
I will never recomend this company, only advise people to steer well clear.
In future I will book through the airline themselves
He provided Excellent Service On The Phone, Answer

Rib Off Travel Agency
Don’t book with this company ever
I needed to change my booking and my children’s booking I have to pay minimum of 300 pounds per ticket
It’s a rib off company .If I bought it from the airlines directly it will be much cheaper and I don’t have to pay all this amount of money
Even changing the date to low season times Ithar minimum is 300 pounds
I had to pay more than thousand pounds extra for our tickets .Never again and I won’t recommended to any one
Please don’t bury from them
For any emergency you will loose your money
Please Do Not Use!
I know there are many good reviews for this company.
However, mine isn't off that nature.
Unfortunately, I have fallen unwell and can no longer make my flights in January due to a newly scheduled operation.
I purchased non-refundable tickets, so understand there will be no refund.
I have tried to change my booking dates, the information they have sent out shows that it would be £250/pp to change. This is not the case and they want to charge me more than the tickets to change the dates. It would be cheaper for me to not make the flight and book new ones completely.
You work hard to book tickets to travel and something unexpected comes along. There doesn't seem to be any escape from the unfortunate and Travel Up don't seem to want to make it any better.
Please avoid in general. Trying to get through to them on the phone has been extremely difficult.

Problems Resolved
Booked a hotel via travelup, we needed to contact the hotel directly and found they were not aware of our booking. Contacted travelup who explained they were agents and 3rd would make bookings and they would contact us after making enquiries, next day they emailed the booking confirmation number with the hotel to us. The agent who dealt with it quickly and explained the process to us
Q&A
We cannot get a reply from Travel Up and are concerned that the money we have paid to them for a flight in 2018 is not secure. How do we contact them. Have they got problems?
We have used twice with no problems but we didn't need to contact them. We have tickets to Brisbane next April so fingers crossed!
I have flights booked with Travelup, but unfortunately need to change my outbound flight by one day. They require £200 Per ticket. I phoned KLM direct who informed me there are flights available, also cheaper, but they can't change it as Travelup have blocked this capability. What should I do?
This seems wrong to me and morally incorrect.
That's appalling. First re-ask them to reconsider their position. If no change or help write a genuine review of your experience and then also contact The International Air Transport Association (IATA) which is the trade association who they seem to be linked with (badge is on their website) and get advice / make an official complaint. I have booked a major holiday in the summer with them and knowing now how unhelpful they are beyond sale albeit greedy, I just hope nothing goes wrong! So sorry you've had this fight. Will insurance cover you? Refund position? Rebook the flight direct for less than £200 each? Do let us know the outcome...
Has anyone obtained an air passenger duty refund successfully from these people? It's been months since my initial request where I was told to submit another request after our flights. Then told to wait 4 to 6 weeks but up to 8. Still waiting 10 weeks later, suspect I'll have to pursue through small claims court, I've already sent details of my charges should I be waiting longer than today, eg interest, costs for emails time and travel. Fortunately I regularly travel to Reading so may be able to pay a visit.
How do I find out about a flight change for my flight? The airline have no details and I can't get in touch with TravelUp. They have sent me an email regarding my flight that leaves Australia on Sunday.
Dreadful company. They made errors in the name on our e-tickets, repeated efforts to get them to correct this on the day of purchase when it could be done at no cost were not dealt with by their call centre went un-dealt with. Repeated efforts to resolve the problem over following days just involved being passed from pillar to post by rude, unhelpful staff, I believed trained never to accept responsibility for their errors. Subsequent research has shown that their call centre is in Karachi and their UK headquarters is a run down end terrace office in Reading adjoining a takeaway. They didn't bother replying to postal correspondence. Using this company involved costly ticket cancellations and using a company with a good reputation instead. Avoid Travel Up like the plague.
Why does this company have two names...i enquired about a holiday to Orlando through a company called magic holidays and when i received an email back the company name is travel up...made me very suspicious about booking a holiday with them can anyone shed any light on this please?
Just to dodge their bad reputation. Cancel everything if you can. I'd pay £100 just to not have to deal with Magic Holidays or Travel Up. They give you a cheap flight, then say its 'pending', then they wait for the prices to go up then they pop up their ugly heads to say that they have to charge you more. Get your money back and start again.
