Barmston Beach...never Again

just back from barmston, never again, worst holiday caravan ever. on arrival looked an smelt ok, cleaners just left, BUT when shut up the smell of the cushions and the dirt on them was disgusting, couldnt wait to leave.we had no t pot, the colender was a melted mess. cigarette ends and broken glass outside door all week, the fridge was desperate for defrosting, iced up inside, ruined food.ran out of bread so called at site shop £1.60 for bread.we were in close proximity to a van with a child who liked to stamp up an down at 6 a.m. , waking us up every day, all the staff said was , "you dont like children then"...yes i do but not at 6 am when wanting a lay in on holiday. it was like thunder, then the pipping of car horn when they went out. were also disturbed by park maintenance "blowing" the chipping about on kids park, before 9 am and lasting well into afternoon. as for beach access, it is a walk across the site, over the cliff tops on a narrow path that is full of dog poo thats not been cleaned up, once on beach its nice. all in all a horrible holiday, went to skipsea in may and loved it...would never go here again.

We Found This Site To Be An Ideal Family With Dogs

We found this site to be an ideal family with dogs retreat it has got kids entertainment not to the scale of butlins and larger sites and it dose not try to get every last penny out of you what it did offer is empty beaches to entertain the kids with afootball and cricket set and even the dogs are allowed on good walks with great view (no hills) for the dogs friendly staff on the evening you could get some grub but if you wanted a top notch meal try the resterurant at the end of the road steaks to die for when we were there they had an act on every night and they also did a kids disco and even karaoke for the adults till 2 am if you want a mix of quiet but something to do it's ideal with brid only 2 minutes in the car could not fault it booking again

We Have Booked A Holiday To Barmston Beach With Pa

we have booked a holiday to barmston beach with park resorts and due to my brother been in hospital we couldnt pay the rest of the payment off, our family thought the holiday would be cancelled but the staff was very understanding and kept the holiday and waited until my brother was out of hospital so we could pay the rest of the payment off,any way we visited the park for a day and the staff were very friendly and the facilities were very clean, when we was there we saw the childrens rep playing games with the children and we also ordered some food which was very nice and cheap (for example: full breakfast £1.99) there is a outdoor heated swimming pool which is great cos if your a parent you can sunbath while watching your child have fun, theres also a ballpool for under 5s this was very helpfull as my brother cant swim for 6 weeks cos he has just had heart surgery. the views from the park a spectacular and the park has easy access to the beach, it also has a laundrette, shop and i think at least 2 pets are allowed to come.

Park Resorts Barmston Beach = Awful!!!!...this Is

PARK RESORTS BARMSTON BEACH = AWFUL!!!!...This is not a family park! Avoid if you have kids and want to enjoy your holiday! Didnt pout any kids entertainment on through the week-we found out they were supposed to put on kids entertainment at 7pm every evening 5 days itno our 7 day stay! At 7pm all the residents are buying Bingo tickets and pickingf the best seats out - no mention of kids, no kids disco..nothing. Our kids ended up 'disturbing' all the old dears playing bingo. Complaints were made. A 12x6ft soft play area is provided - and its a dump! The bar and resteraunt 'complex' is one room with a dozen tables. All but 20 of the caravabns are owned. Most by local retired people it would seem. These people clearly didn't want noisey families shattering their peaceful site. We were gawped at by everyone who passed our caravan. The residents are rude on the whole, the staff seem to only be interested in the owner-occupiers and are generally unwelcoming as well. The site is dissapearing into the sea yet they will try their damndest to sell you a caravan! THIS PARK IS TERRIBLE! Even a member of staff said we should've booked at Skipsea!

On the filpside, the beach itself is always deserted ansd is fantastic. The campsite is just very odd - a bit wicker man-ish!

Very friendly park we found most of the owners very friendly but were disgusted by the way the dog owners let their dogs mess up the walk way down on to the beach without cleaning up, this we felt was very irresponsible as the children walking down to the beach had to walk as if they were on an assault course, please clean up after your dogs and stop spoiling this lovely park

Guest

Its the friendliest site with all owners putting up with visiting families with screaming misbehaved children running around while the parents sit drinking as much as they can. my children were very happy and played quietly.. retired folks lol most are young people with well behaved children the gaping in the vans is always done by nosey holidaymakers. pleased dont come back much quieter with out you

First of all learn to spell. I am an owner at Barmston Beach and I am not a retired local as you put it, in fact I work full time for a living. If you had done your research on Barmston Beach you would have realized that it is not a park for children unless they are under 8. It is not dirty and the staff are always very helpful. The owners of Holiday Homes on this park do their best to keep the park clean but usually find it is the holiday makers that do not follow the rules of the park ie. driving around the park like they are on a racetrack despite the speed signs and do not pick up dog mess (leaving outside caravans for people to tread in)
