Superb Service From Start To Finish And Beyond
We purchased our used (2 1/2 years old) motorhome from Salop Leisure in September 2023. The service and attention to detail was superb. Everything was checked and replaced where necessary from a new set of carpets to a new washing up bowl. The handover was also excellent with one on one tuition showing us every detail and function of the vehicle. The motorhome developed a couple of faults in May 2024 which we needed fixing before our holiday in June. This was done courteously and efficiently and without charge under their warranty. We are so impressed that whilst we have plenty of caravan and motorhome dealers near us in Cheshire, we will happily return to Shropshire for all our requirements and are already booked in for the annual habitation check and service this year. Highly recommended.

Don't Waste Your Time
Went to salop leisure with my elderly farther he found a caravan he liked and applied for finance he was told the next day he would get a decision and they would call they never did i called them up a day later and was promised that someone would call back they never did call again 3 times the next day i managed to speak to the sales man who originally helped him make the application he said sorry there was some miscommunication and that my father was refused the finance he didn't give me a chance to even speak he just hung up the phone if he had just given 1 more minute of his time instead of being so rude I would have explained my father had got a loan from the bank instead but they lost our business very poor customer service I wouldn't recommend anyone go there we ended up going slightly further along the same road and found another caravan dealer who was much more helpful

Go Elsewhere
One of the worst companies I've had the misfortune to deal with. I deeply regret ever trying to give them my order. Whilst I appreciate that supply issues are causing delays to holiday home production, I didn't appreciate being fobbed-off and lied to about the reason mine was going to face a further 6-month delay. The final straw being the put-up-or-shutup attitude from the area manager. The only competent employee I dealt with was the person who issued the refund of my deposit. My advice would be to take your business elsewhere.

Very Poor After Sales
Have statice van supplied by Salop Leisure. Faults started to develop with fixtures . Reported to Swift, no response told to caontact park, reported to perk who reported faults to Salop Leisure, asked to send photos which I did over 6 weeks ago, no response whatsoever. Now more faults developing. Didn’t even get the courtesy of an acknowledgement of the complaints. Still waiting, awful customer care.
Arrogant Bad People
Had my Caravan serviced from new at SLOP Caravans, when i contacted them 12 months later for the next service they informed me i had missed the deadline for the manufactures warranty, asked why they never sent a reminder or contacted me they replied, it's not our problem, alright to take my money, never again total bad attitudes service department, i wouldn't buy a plant pot of these people, beware.

Excellent Service, Storage Etc
We have been storing our caravan at Salop Leisure Shrewsbury for 5 months now and can honestly say the storage facility is amazing. Due to the distance from our house we have been looking closer to home but cannot find anything anywhere near as secure, clean, professional as the storage at Salop Leisure. It is very, very organised, your own allocated space, key fob for entry and exit. Caravan washing facilities and to top it all a lovely café for food before you start your travels. I feel the site is extremely secure compared to what we have seen for the same amount of money. Well worth it to stay at Salop Leisure Shrewsbury.
Secondhand Motorhome
Bought motorhome April 2014 due to pick up in a couple of weeks after service - MOT, both engine and caravan part - completed. Traded in a VW T4. Pick up delayed by further week as fridge needed new part and awaiting delivery. Paid in full. Requested parking sensors to be fitted prior to collection as well as second key. On day of collection, shown round by fitter/mechanic to explain heating/water system etc. Saw salesman who completed all details, then requested final payment, which had he checked his records, had been received 2 weeks earlier! Found that second key had not been requested so had to wait further month to collect it. Drove motorhome 12 miles home, reversing onto drive to ding sensors not been fitted. Phone call back to company - Oh yes, will get it sorted. Another half a day spent a week later having sensors fitted. Having spoken to staff member who showed me around camper, neglected to tell me that table was not correct one for van, was free-standing and very bulky. After a few uses of van, used shower to find that shower tray had an enormous crack around seam and was leaking water onto underside. Repair to shower tray cost just under £300.? I was obviously very naive when picking this up, but certainly not recommend this company to anyone planning to buy a secondhand camper. It came across that once your money was in their account, there was very little in the way of ‘aftercare’. Will certainly be more ‘savvy’ when purchasing a replacement as well as what questions to ask. Very disappointed.

After Sales Brush Off!
Purchased a second hand van from them and collected 23rd Sept.2017. On pre inspection had pointed out several glitches that needed to be done and all but one was rectified when we collected the van. It is now the end of March 2018 and we are still waiting for a replacement fly screen for the bedroom window, as old one is covered in black mould that will not come off. No-one bothers to chase up the order for new blind, and they have continually blamed Coachman for the delay, when it is Salop Leisure that are incompetent. If you decide to buy from this company, which are way overpriced and knock down value of trade in on day you collect new van, then get a contract from them if you need any repairs doing, so you can then take them to small claims court to recoup cost of travelling to premises to chase up on work promised. Avoid this company at all costs! They are nice to your face but don't care less when they have had your money!
After Sales Support Non-existent
Brought second hand motor home last sept £19000 was told had year warranty ,any problems just come back to them. Was not made clear that warranty was actually insurance policy by third party.
Hence when had problem with immobiliser after winter, insurance company very un helpful, refused claim after repair.Salop, sales guy had left. manager said "well your not local",cant help!
He said if we sent all info to him he would help with claim,he never got back to us,rang today, very dismissive said looked into it,but insurance at level we had been sold did not cover recovery or electronics.
Will not be taking back for any services etc ,will find more "helpful, local company".
Once they have your money, forget it!!.
Never Again
We ordered a Swift at the NEC. Our 'van was to be part exchanged. Took ours in 6 hours before handover and then we returned in time for our handover of the new 'van. 45 minutes into handover the salesperson enters the new caravan and tells us that damp has been found in our p/x amd they want £980.00 more from us.. There is to be no negotiation so we tell them to cancel the deal. I'm perplexed as to why they waited all morning and until mid afternoon before telling us this? ( they have had the p/x for assessment since 08.45.).
An hour later, the sales dircector will not move on the demand so we tell him that we will no longer purchase the new 'van and we want our deposit returned. He finally agrees to this reluctantly.
I cannot leave out the pathetic behaviour of the two staff involved in our final contact. As we walked back to our p/x in order take it away, we were handd our battery and number plate and had to both ourselves. These had been taken off in order to be fitted onto the new 'van.
The damp in my p/x? In all 3 external boxes (which is where you might expect condensation to settle). Also in the washroom ceiling near to the flue chimney fitment. Flue was resealed after drying the area out and panels in external boxes replacd. All at total cost of £95.00. Caravan has now been reserviced and is damp-free.
