This Is The Second A3 Sportback I Have Had From Ne

This is the second A3 Sportback I have had from new - the first being the 140bhp 2 litre diesel. On the figures for perfomance etc I decided to return to petrol and haven't been disappointed. A TOP TIP here that could save you £2,000 is to buy the 1.4 TFSI petrol and choose to not have the 1.4 badge on the boot. The twin exhausts on the 1.4 look great and nobody would know that you are not driving a far more powerful A3!

All the quality you would expect from Audi, an exceptionally quiet engine (the heater fan makes more noise than the engine when stationary) and a lively free revving engine returning 47mpg. Performance is excellent, not so much grunt as the 2ltr diesel, but the same acceleration. An excellent engine that holds its own with the best.

I Suppose For Most People It Can Be Hard To Fault

I suppose for most people it can be hard to fault their own car, its not nice to do... Most people I've spoke to don't like to point out the negative points and even go as far as saying "my car is the best car I have driven and I would never change my car", when in my opinion its obvious they would...However, I personally have had my Audi A3 bought for me, I wont go into how or why but I will say I think my review may help a little more than most as I will point out the negative and the positive...I can honestly say the drive is superb, the steering is so so light its an actual experience just to drive. I am unsure as to whether this is just good quality power steering or such a well balanced car. However from my experience so far with the Audi A3 I do think its a little bit of both.My Audi A3 is and 08 plate Ibis White 1.4 TFSI (T = Turbo), it has the front fully black sports grill and I have changed the alloys to the R8 alloys as in my opinion the new alloys that come with the A3 when bought new let it down. The car cost around £18,000 first hand, the service I received from Audi was so kind and helpful, well recommended customer service... But anyway, without being cocky I do find a lot of people turning heads at the A3, possibly to do with the colour as the black grill certainly complements it. However if I am honest it could be because I am 18 year old in a white Audi 08 A3... What ever the reason, in my opinion it is deffinately a beautiful looking car when comapared to its competitors, for example the 1 series, A Class and the new Golf. The Interior however for me is a bad point, before the A3 I had an 08 Black 1.4 VW Polo... I personally find it hard to see the difference, in fact if I am honest if I was to cover the Audi badge up on the steering wheel, I would even go for the VW's over the Audi's interior. I dont like the design of the hand brake, the steering wheel is bulky but not in a sport way. The buttons on the radio, the cup holders... all feel a little cheap, basically what I am trying to say is that Audi are supposed to be a well known brand for luxury, cool cars, sport... they are starting to make a real good name for themselves... but if the Audi badge was not on the steering wheel I would honestly think I was sat in a Polo, Astra... The performance of the 1.4 TFSI is actually suprising, I had a standard 1.4 in my Polo and thought with a turbo their wouldn't be a huge improvement in power. I was wrong... the new Audi A3 1.4 TFSI gets from 0-60 in around 9 seconds, believe me this is quite impressive and certainly gives you a pull when getting excited with the gas.Overall I do well recommend the A3 when I compare it to its competitors, the 1 Series for example. Beautiful steering, beautiful style and looks, deffinately a cool car in white. Interior isn't the best but nothing to complain about as the drive is so good. The power is suprising and even though I didn't buy this car, I certainly would if I had £18,000 to spend on a car.
