Isle Of Wight, Nodes Point Holiday Park

We were caravan owners and were treated dismally when we decided to sell back the caravan due to high ground rent with all the additional charges that went with it. In November2022 we offered to sell back the caravan to the site that we had purchased it from. That was in the year 2019. We were told that they wouldn't buy it back only use the value as a deposit for an upgrade. They gave us the telephone number of an outside contractor that would buy it off us and give us a reasonable price. We purchased the caravan three years earlier for the sum off £37,000 which included the first year's ground rent.

We agreed a price of £9,000 to the

contractor because we did not want to get caught up in the following years ground rent of £7,000 and all the additional costs that go with it. Everything was agreed with the contractor. We never received all of our money until September 2023.

We were made to wait nearly an whole year to get the money owed to us. I can tell this story now because we have moved on and can't be held to ransom anymore. Im telling this story to make people aware of the kind of site Nodes Point is ,think before you buy from these people.

Filthy loos and showers,totally under staffed.Reminded me of Butlins in the 60s.

This site relies heavily on its location, the facilities are less than average, not least the filthy loos and showers.Understaffed, clearly very poor management.

Nodes Point is such a beautiful holiday park! We give it a 10/10 !

It is a stunning well looked after park full of beautiful scenery & wildlife so bring your camera & food to feed the Red squirrels , woodpeckers ,badgers, rabbits & foxes all live here so at dusk if u set up seats near the camp field it’s a great watch at night ! The Entertainment staff are fantastic with a great new manager ! We have been so well looked after by the bar team and the complex inside & out side to eat and drink at is always so clean & the staff are so kind & friendly & go out of their way to look after you, the complex manager there is brilliant ! All the staff at Nodes are Such lovely people , security are brilliant so good at their job and very friendly too , my daughter dropped her new mobile and they ran after her to give it to her , so a huge thanku to the security team & their manager ! The grounds & maintenance team are fantastic ,keep the park looking so good and even the manager helps out with the lawns , the caravan sales team are really friendly too as are reception , they are so helpful and friendly , always smiling! The accommodation is beautiful at Nodes and the accommodation staff look after it so well , we have stayed camping, glamping , chalet , caravan & lodge and all are 10/10 !! Location is right on beach & next to Bembridge harbour , it’s one of the best locations to holiday on the Isle Of Wight !!!! Tesco is just down the road & village green & pub & restaurants are a quick walk up the hill outside the gate on camping field , just a 5 min walk! Bus stops right outside main entrance and takes u directly to all tourist locations it’s so easy!!!

The Arcade is well looked after with very kind staff too ! We love Nodes Point!!!

We had a nice holiday in the Isle of Wight as it's such a fabulous holiday destination! We booked our holiday at Nodes Point with Park Resorts. Firstly the postives were Great kids Entertainment, our 4 boys loved the sports pitch and the adventure playground was good too. Our silver plus caravan was spacious and furnished okay and there was a nice big fridge/freezer and flat screen tv with dvd player as well. Now the negatives were the caravan had no number on it so it took ages to find it when we got there and I did tell reception about it and asked for a number to be put on so the kids could easily find us but nothing was done about it. Also the caravan wasn't that clean,cooker was filthy,cobwebs on the light fittings and bedroom ceilings and squashed dead flies on the bedroom walls. I think they need to employ some new cleaners!! It was quite rowdy and noisy at night and sometimes until 1am so not ideal for families with younger children! We love the Isle of Wight but won't be stopping on this park again. Very expensive accomodation for what we got really.

We have been going to Nodes Point at the beginning of July for about 4 years, staying in one of the ready-erected tents. The site is not too busy at this time of year, so please read the review with that in mind.

Location: Excellent; a beautiful location with great views. There is a nice beach just outside the "back gate" of the park.

Site: The site is clean, tidy and well-kept. Problems (a rabbit that decided to die under our tent, and a dangerously muddy track caused by torrential rain) have been dealt with quickly and courteously. Staff are very friendly and approachable.

Pool: Smaller than it looks in the brochure or on the website, but big enough. The activities for children are great value. Opening times could be longer.

Shop: Well stocked and reasonably priced.

Entertainment: Not my thing but my children love it!

Showers and toilets: Clean and plenty of them.

Rabbits: The site is home to what may well be the UK's largest concentration of rabbits! They are great fun to watch and feed but attempts to entice one into the tent with a trail of carrot slices have so far failed.

If you are intending to take your own tent, note that most of the camping field is on a slope.

Nodes Point Holiday Park has excellent entertainment. The park was short staffed. The restaurant was badly run, the swimming pool was not clean and had things floating in it.
