Gowdys, Lisburn

The occassion for the visit to Gowdey's was a small 60th birthday meal for 5 adults, 2 children and a 3month old baby. There was only one other group there, a family of four. The rest of the place was completly empty. My complaint was the standard of service (very poor). The waitress brought our drinks order and took the order for4 the food. After an hour one of our group went to the bar to see why the food was taking so long. Shock horro, the order had not been given to the chef. So we had to wait a futhe 45 minutes for the food to turn up. We ordered another round of drinks. athe waiter spilt a whole tray of drinks over a childs head absolutly soaking him. We realise it was an accident but no recompense was offered.

I could not recommend Gowdy@s to anyone.

My wife and I have been going to Gowdys for a long while now and although we do eat elsewhere from time to time we never fail to be impressed by the flawless food this establishment serves. I recommend all internet users to pay a visit to Gowdys......you will not be disappointed with the service and meal even if you have a bad day at the races.
