They Just Don’t Care.

Seem I have been put on the naughty step by them, in saying that I am at my wits end, they wanted to put my DD up by £26 Evan though I have been in credit all year, so what they done was to not pay my warm home discount, which would put me in debt, thus justifying said DD rise, I stopped the DD because the money is just not there on a pension, and pay monthly, so they punished me with a very high tariff, £215 in standing charges alone, and a very high rate in both gas and electric, still no warm home discount, worried for the future now.

Worst Custormer Service Ever

This is the worst customer service I've experienced - not just in the energy industry but ever. Not even addressing your correspondence to the CEO gets you an answer.

Despite supposedly this being a not for profit public service, this is a prime example of senior management paying themselves a fortune while failing and fleecing the public.

And this is part of a national resources.

Scandalous!

Worst Customer Service Ever

I had booked a gas safety check for Dec 17. Appointment date came and went but no check was done. I queried this they told me they needed some information from me before the check can be done. I was not told this before otherwise I would have given the relevant info prior to the appointment. I have the info and they booked another appointment. On the day of the appointment I called to check if the appointment was still on. I was told apparently the was no appointment booked. At that point I decided to make a complaint and book another appointment. A week before the appointment I phoned to check if it was booked I was told it was. I called again days before the appointment and I was told it was booked. The booking was also confirmed by the relevant department manager (metering). On the day of the appointment after I called as no one had arrived. I was again told there was no appointment booked. They again were going to book another appointment. I told them only when the engineer who will be attending my property confirms that they will be coming let me know as I have wasted so many day of work for this appointment and so many hours on the phone. Every time I have been told that they have a turn around date of 10 days. But it seems there turn around date of 10 days goes back to day one as they provide no result. Last time I spoke to them was on the 9th of March so again the 10 days has past. I also go no result on my complaint it been over 6 weeks. It is annoying when they say the same thing everytime you speak to them knowing that it's not going to happen. From Dec 17 to Apr 18. No gas safety check and no result to the complaint. Still waiting.

Ebico - Excellent For Low Users And Owners Of Holiday Homes

I used Ebico for a holiday home when they worked with SSE and the service was excellent. The meter was a Pay As You Go meter and my annual bill, due to having no standing charge, was about £125 a year. Unfortunately the rift and split between Ebico and SSE wasn't so go, with the new Ebico energy supplier, (Robin Hood), not being prepared to take on customers with Pay Go Meters. Even though Ebico had my full history and for someone who was always in credit on the Pay Go meter, they wouldn't entertain me.

For normal users Ebico isn't your best bet, in fact they are expensive as I found out when I transferred another property over to them but for very low electricity users, holiday home / let owners they can be a God send.

From reading other reviews perhaps Robin Hood doesn't like giving refunds when people leave therefore I assume that is why they don't take Pay As You Go meters. For those with a standard credit meter, as I have now, you should only pay what you owe and don't be fooled into building up a large credit, that's a big mistake for anyone with any supplier. Why give your money to someone for them to earn interest on?

Now I have a credit meter installed I can't wait to get back to Ebico.

Still Waiting For Refund

I switched away from Ebico to a new supplier in November 2017. My account was in credit and Ebico still owe me a refund of over £200 which is a lot of money. I phoned before Christmas to chase this and have had to phone again today. I was informed (yet again) that it could take up to 10 days for my account to be credited! The lady I spoke to today was pleasant and helpful however, for the firm to be hanging on to client's money is very poor. I do not recommend this supplier.

Ebico Or Sse. No Way!

I joined Ebico late last year.

Shorly after Ebico & SSE part company.

I agree to stay with SSE because they told me I would be on the same tarrif if I did. A lie.

Shortly after I was put onto their 'Standard Tarrif'.... The expensive one.

Many months later they still have £269 of mine in their account (Credit).

I'm 70 & am outraged at this shambles. I've been promised twice in the last week that the money would be refunded to me.

No sign of itas of today.

My advice is to avoid both these companies. I trusted both these companies before. I know better now.

Nightmare

The change from SSE to RHE has been a disaster. Long delays, no-one answers emails, problems with meter readings, unhelpful staff.

Looking for an end to the problems but still as bad as ever

Misleading And Not Telling The Truth

They stated that I would save money yet did not answer my questions. In the end their sales pitch made me sign up. However, on investigation of their EBICO rip off they didn't tell me its part of SSE. Nor did they tell me the tariffs are higher to compensate that there is no standing charge. Its hidden in the tariff prices. I have swapped and saved another £278 going back to EDF.

Transfer From Scottish Power To Ebico

I was looking for a Dual Fuel tariff with no standing charge as i'm a low user. Checked out some comparison sites which didn't really help but one came back with EBICO. I started the transfer process and they kept me well informed. I supply meter readings every month and my first bill (SSE) is spot on. I can't fault the service which was stress free!!. Also, there is no contract tie in and you can switch with 28 days notice. In summary, I have saved money and not been forced to take out a tariff with a standard charge which all the big six say is mandatory...?
