I'm A Regular At Lambs At The Market. I Take Clie

I'm a regular at Lambs at the market. I take clients there for business meals and regularly enjoy a weekday or Sunday dinner. The menu is modern, creative, interesting and original. Food is locally sourced and cooked by head chef Troy to perfection. Desserts are out of this world and well worth the visit alone. Atmosphere is relaxed and warm; service is polite, efficient and welcoming. Not the best place if you want more than 18 people as it is a bit small but with advance booking it is done without problems and they even tailor a menu especially for your party. The dining experience is well worth the visit; although a touch expensive it is worth paying and you know its been worth it when you finish your meal.

I Took My Group Of 8 Family Members For Sunday Lun

I took my group of 8 family members for Sunday lunch to Lamb's after a recommendation. The menu sounded very impressive but food was average at best. I wonder if a restaurant isn't able to get a Sunday roast right there is little help for the rest of the food it serves. In particular, the beef seemed quite tough, Yorkshires were dry and a little well done, very small bowls of vegetables/new potatoes to share amongst the table. The roast pork and lamb were cooked well however, and the stuffing served with pork was very nice. The starters were adequate, neither really tasty or unpleasant. Everyone was disappointed with the desserts. My dessert was a Trinty cream with black cherries -it turned out to be a ramekin with a strong cherry flavoured cream with crem-brulee style top and to chocolate chip cookies on the side - cookies were alright but the cream was a bit sickly for my taste. Very disappointing. My father had cheese and biscuits - one the cheese was very dry and looked as though it had been out for a week. Although the Sunday menu wasn't too expensive ( £15.50 for 3 courses), it wasn't worth it and I wouldn't go back or recommend it to a friend.
