First Time I've Eaten At Brouge Bistro In Richmond

First time I've eaten at Brouge Bistro in Richmond. I was looking forward to a good dish of mussels and saw they had them included in a special 2 course deal that runs before 7pm each day. Service was pretty slow. We ordered some olives, bread and canapes but didn't get asked for drink orders until we'd finished. The canapes of sausage, cheese and gerkin was nice and the breads were simple but nice. Finally they came round to take our orders (drinks and food) and I went for the mussels and a mozzarella and tomato starter. Again we had a fairly long wait to get our drinks and then food after. Everything was fine, the starter was a little bland and could have done with better tomatoes and a touch of basil imho. Mussels were nice but I didn't eat the chips as I would have been too full. We finished our mains and had to wait a long time for our bill that came in two parts (there was about 20 of us on two tables). I was quite surprised at how long everything seemed to take since it was lunchtime and we were the only party in their bar 4 other people. If the food hadn't been good I wouldn't go again but it was so I'll give them another chance.

This Is The Second Visit I Have Paid To Brouge. Bo

This is the second visit i have paid to Brouge. Both have been company lunches. The food is great here, there is somethign for everyone and it's pretty good value for money. If you go before 7pm you can get 2 courses and a drink for £9.95. I had the goats cheese and portobello mushroom salad, which was lovely and very generous with the goats cheese - and also comes with chips! The atmosphere is nice and the selection of drinks always seems to be well received. If i had one complaint it would be that the service was excruciatingly slow on the last visit. It took a good half an hour for our drinks to arrive. However they were very quick to upsell us into olives and canapes, which arrived immediately. Great food, nice atmosphere, would definitely return - possibly not in such a large group though.

This Place Is A Slighty More Upmarket Version Of B

This place is a slighty more upmarket version of belgos. The food is to a better standard. There is a little to fault with this restaurant. There was a large group of us however, they still managed to get all starters and mains out at the same time.I'd definately go again.
