Leaked After A Few Months

i bought these a few years back and spent over a hundred pounds on them. they look great, but the rubber seal on the welt split as this is the weak/bending point near the toes. this then let in water and you could see the wet marks around the leak point. as this dried, it left a white mark. this was only a few months after buying them. I emailed Brasher and they said to use copydex!

hardly what you want to hear from them after 3 months old!

A Very Painful Experience...be Very Careful With These Boots

I bought a pair of Brasher Supalite ladies boots about 5 years ago and whilst they were a delight to wear, the soles wore out very quickly so I replaced them with a different brand boasting Vibran soles. When those soles wore out almost as quickly, I replaced them in July 2012 with a new pair of Brasher Supalites. I trusted the brand because of the previous pair but what a big mistake that was. Although they'd felt comfortable trying them on in the shop, when I walked a few miles in them, the boots rubbed my right ankle so badly that I couldn't walk properly. I persevered with the boots for a couple of weeks, by which time, my whole ankle was in agony and I had to stop wearing them. I'd noticed that the tongues skewed round to the outside of the boots and wouldn't lie flat and the whole boot seemed to twist slightly. I eventually discovered that I had sustained a stress fracture to my right ankle, which, along with the associated damage to tendons and ligaments, has taken months to heal. I asked Brasher to test the boots as in my opinion they were defective. First of all they lost the boots after receiving them, then found them in a cupboard with no supporting documentation. They claimed that they were the correct pair as they were not in possession of any other pair of the same size. The testing they did involved having a look at them and having a member of staff wear them for a weekend. On the strength of this unimpressive 'testing' I was advised that there was nothing wrong with the boots and it must be that thay just weren't right for me. Their only concern was to fob me off and not return calls to me when promised. I sought advice from a solicitor because I was so upset by Brasher's response but without the boots, I have no evidence and I can't be sure that the boots Brasher say they tested are the right ones, plus, proper testing would cost money that I can't afford. Aside from this, I'd bought the boots from Go Outdoors who were brilliant. The boots were sent to Brasher by Go Outdoors who gave me a full refund. It's a pity Brasher didn't show the same concern.
