Shocking Aftersales Service

I bought a new motorhome summer 2019. Found a few faults but after a few emails the faults were rectified but January 2020 one of locks on exterior door broke so was unable to open the door from the ouside, contacted Campbells imediately and here i am still continually emailing for replacement lock and rarely have received a response but when i do it is excuse after excuse. I have now sold the motorhome and guaranteed i would have the lock replaced but campbells sadly have let me down yet again!!!!! Here i am well over a year later still emailing for the replacement. i do not recommend campbells!!!!!! I live in Scotland so i can't visit the store which is very infuriating.

Simply Dreadful

Went to look at a Bailey caravan (my dad has one) - was steered by a rather pushy salesman into a lunar which was heavily discounted, signed on the line and agreed a pick up 10 days later. My dad went mad as he said Lunar were going bust so I tried to cancel the deal, they refused point blank. I had left over a £1000 deposit which they now said was non refundable as they had prepared and registered the caravan to me.( all within 24hrs!! )

Asked to transfer deposit to the bailey we originally went to see, again refused.

My dad went down and had an argument with an aggressive sales guy, had to take my dad away before it escalated he was so rude, he actually laughed at us.

Eventually got a letter saying they would honour the warranty should anything happen to Lunar but it was very unlikely as a new buyer had been found.

24 months later and the caravan is falling apart and we haven't used it for nearly 12 months, pouring water in 4 different places, all the upholstery is wet and mouldy, wall paper coming off, a huge area of squashy floor that feels like you will fall through it.

Campbells have denied all assistance save getting me a quote for over £4000 but a lot of the parts trims etc cant be sourced because lunar are closed down.

They knew this was happening and still stitched me up, a young couple with 2 small children - uncaring sharks.

Stay away - they are rotten to the core, they have no conscience- smiling hyenas

Very Poor After Sales Service

Avoid! Find a dealer that cares. They are quick to take your money but after receiving a brand-new motor home they become difficult to reach and reluctant to resolve issues. Effectively my dream is fast becoming a nightmare. Trading standards and courts will be next

They Looks And Behave Like They Are Closing Down !!

What has happened to this place ? It was once a friendly vibrant busy centre ?

Lots of stock however its dirty, unloved and badly presented which doesn't enthral nor encourage one to purchase, Desperate, remote and bumbling sales staff who don't really know what they are selling and in particular the motor home section are amateurish / borderline rude to be polite !

The service centre had our caravan for two months for a 1 hour repair ! I asked to speak to the manager on many occasion but apparently she was too busy with real issues !

I tried to speak to a Director but apparently he doesn't speak to customers either and is very seldom at the centre.

All in all its chalk and cheese from my previous visits.

On a lighter note I popped over to Preston Caravans who couldn't have been more helpful and I am soon to collect my new motorhome.

Fabulous Service

We've just purchased a new caravan from Campbells and were dealt with by the Caravan Sales Manager. This individual assisted us right from the very start to picking up the caravan. All I can say is 'fantastic' service! Nothing was too much trouble for him throughout the whole purchase. We asked lots of questions and he never seemed to have a problem with answering them and was extremely helpful the whole time. Both my husband and I have been thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of this individual - a real credit to Campbells.

Water Leak

we contacted campbells in Leyland about a water leak, we bought the caravan from Glossop caravans but don't like their service department not helpful at all but, Campbells told us take it in we'll have a look and in no time they had located the problem and sorted it for us at very little cost, will definitely be going back there now for servicing instead of glossop. Thank you to all the staff in reception all very helpful and friendly.

Staff Very Helpful

I recently enquired about a Coachman VIP caravan and the staff member I dealt with on various occasions was more than helpful. He was not pushy and went to great lengths to find out any information I required. I went on to order a caravan from him purely due to Campbells good pricing and this member of staff who delivered excellent service so far.

Rubbish

Lunar Cosmos 462 bought new 2017 with a list of faults , including leak , oven door falling off , 4 inch crack in shower cubicle,lights falling out of ceiling and off wall , heating duct not connected plus more . I have been waiting for a third marker light and one down light since September last year , got fobbed of again, now venting my anger. Lunar and Campbell’s after care is non existing

Update

I have now received the two parts and are now installed , even though the downlight was not as per the original one. I have been more than happy with the response and help i have had , who has gone to great lengths in keeping me informed at every stage and has restored some positive feelings towards Campbell's.

As mentioned in my post i do mention Lunar . I originally raised the claim way back in September last year. All i require is a marker light and one downlight . My local authorized repair man , chased Campbells as well back in January, and was told, "Still waiting for parts" . I got involved and was told that Lunar were to supply a marker light and that Campbells had ordered the downlight from the manufacturer TWL.This was from Lunar themselves. I was at no point , told that i had to bring my van to Preston ,when the marker light turned up ,for TWL then to send the downlight ,as i was told in my latest correspondence with Campbell's . There was no mention of me using my authorized repair man . I was also told that TWL would send me out a new downlight , but Campbells would charge me for it and refund me when i returned the faulty one . Remember you are but a 5 minute drive from Lunar and these two items are still a current product.

When considering all the problems i have had , which have all been recorded by yourselves and Lunar , since picking up my caravan , i would of thought a bit of urgency, for these two minor faults, would be prioritised more.

Really Really Happy

We have just purchased a Coachman caravan from Campbells in Preston. I cant praise the sales person and the bloke man who demonstrated the van to us on collection enough. We have just been away for the weekend I I must say that we are both thrilled to bits and cant wait to get out again in the van

The person I dealt with had knowledge of caravans that was excellent and I would have come unstuck on my first outing only for some tips and hints he gave me. The lady was not pushy at all, which I like as pushy sales people can be a pain.

Over all we are delighted with the service, product and will definitley go to Campbells again.

Excellent Service All Round.

Seamless - is perhaps the best word to describe our experience of purchasing our new caravan from Campbell’s. The staff go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I cannot praise them enough.
