Booking Did Not Pay The Resort!
We couldn’t check out of the resort because book it did not pay them so the resort wanted us to pay them! Spent an hour on the phone trying to get it straightened out! We have used book it for 10 years and have had trouble with them twice! Our friends had to pay again!
Horrible Resort!!
We were expecting a beautiful place with exceptional rooms and nice views(as shown in the pictures) with all the VIP upgrades that I paid for. Instead we had a room with strong mold odor. I was taken to 6 different rooms, all had MOLD issues. I was told it was the time of the year and there was high humidity. The smell in the last room was somewhat tolerable and we didn't have more choice to stay in this one. Our concierge brought air cleaners to help with the smell. we Lysol and opened doors to air the room. I made many attempts to call concierge line, but every single time we were put on hold, after an hour tired of waiting I decided to walk down to the Exhale Club which is the VIP club and finds a concierge that helps us find the room. We just tried to stay out of our room as much as possible just not to deal with the feeling of being sick and nauseous on a vacation we had planned and saved to go for a year. We starting speaking with other patrons only to hear they were having the same exact issues and they were told all the rooms were booked. Never the less we ended up coming home sick congested and more tired than when we went. I paid EXTRA for the VIP EXHALE. AS a loyal card member for many years I hope capital One will step up and fight for their customers unlike how we were treated while we were there. The resort was at the most a 2 and a half star and was falsely advertising 5 stars. There wasn't a single guest we spoke to who was pleased or satisfied with the way we're treated or the accommodations given to them. We were told with the EXHALE VIP package there would be premium liquor (NOT) food was at the best Golden Corral buffet style with bad food and terrible service. Whoever is reading this letter DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT!! OR YOU WILL BE STUCK IN A third world country afraid to cause to many waves like if your room is infested with mold or any other horrible scenarios. They didn't even have orange juice or cranberry juice, only orange sodas I mean really? 5 star. Realistically I should be demanding every penny I spent returning not just $850. This was a vacation from *** We were even forced to leave the concierge a good review because he kept pressuring us every single time we ran into him. It was very uncomfortable especially since we heard from another patron that a woman had been abuse on the property by a staff member while we were there and my wife was begging me not to cause any issues complaining any longer. We were at some point afraid to complain anymore because we are stuck in a third world country, where we don't speak the language, we don't know anybody. We didn't want to risk our lives, so we decide to stay and thankfully we are back in the US safe.
The whole experience was a disaster!
Xhale didn't deliver to us what they offer, that was: -access to two private xhale club pools as well as a pool concierge and bar service. Upgrades like: jacuzzi on a private balcony. upgraded mini-bar and room service menus. upgraded bath amenities and even a pillow menu!
upgraded access to a private restaurant for breakfast and lunch, afternoon hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, exquisite desserts, fine liquors in the lounge and a complimentary newspaper in suite daily upon request.
We DIDN'T received ANY of this Upgrades or Xhale services!
We don't understand how this place is rated almost 5 star on BOOKIT.COM!
Deceptive Practices
READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS BECAUSE THE CONSUMER HAS NO RIGHTS. IF A FLIGHT IS CHANGED ITS BECAUSE THEY OVERBOOKED AND YOU ARE AT A LOSS. THEY WILL TRY TO ASSIST, BUT IT TAKES SO LONG THAT YOU MAY GIVE UP DUE TO THE HOD TIME ON THE PHONE. IM CONTACTING THE BBB ABOUT THIS DECEPTION!
Worst Booking Experience Ever!
About a year I booked a trip to Cancun through bookit. Some “glitch” happened and somehow they lost my hotel reservations and I was left with no where to go stay on our 1 year anniversary trip. Lucky for me I was paranoid by their service and I checked my reservation status with a rep a month prior to our trip. Come to find out that they only booked my flight and nothing else. I fought for over a year and haven’t been able to get my money back. This is the worst place to book a trip from. I would never recommend bookit to anyone I know. I lost almost $2,000 plus the time off I took from work. And the worst part was that we couldn’t even celebrate our anniversary the way we planned since they never refunded my money.
I Booked A Vacation The Policy States You Can Canc
I booked a vacation the policy states you can cancel within a certain amount of days.. first they didn't book the correct room. I called them within the hour of booking to check if maybe I wasn't understanding the hotel room.. they said no you are booked for the one you are seeing when I said well that is not what I picked they said it will cost you another 400.00 to change it so at that point I said well never mind I will just keep it. then I decided I did not want to settle for what they wanted so I cancelled it with in the time allowed it says. They charged me 200 to cancel it. but I was like I'm just gonna drop it. but then they charged me 517.00 so then I was like for what.. I called they said we had to charge you for the flight. I said why I cancelled with in the time it allowed and the rep said no that does not include the flights.. so I was very upset I called my bank they said we can dispute but we see it happen all the time.. so I did that and I called back book it. At this point the lady says we will give you a credit of 517.00 you have a year to use it.But you can't transfer it to anyone you have to use it. so the claim did not go thru and the bank paid it but I said well I guess I will just use the flight later. This all happened mid feb. so last week I called to try and use the flight it hasn't been a year.. and I was told well the particular airline only gives you 60 days.. and I say that is not what the agent told me.. he says i'm sorry but she told you wrong. I said well I don't know but I want to speak with a supervisor. and the agent would not let me he said I'm sorry but we never refund because its what the airline charges.. so I tell him I called the airline and they let you cancel up to a few days of your flight and penalize you 99.00 he said no maa'm they don't. I tell him I called them directly.. by now im mad and I say I want to talk with a supervisor he says they are busy and I said I don't care I can hold.. he comes back and tells me that they will open up an investigation because they don't believe me that the other agent told me I had a year.. and I told him where would I make that up at.. by now i'm frustrated and I say how long does this take he says idk so I say seems to me that y'all are not properly trained since no one give correct information and doesn't know any answers.. I recieved an email today states we have found that the duration of the flight credit was not advised of bookit is unable to compensate for this matter.. if you have any questions regarding the results please contact us. Well I know what I was told and I did not make it up.. so I am out 717.00 which like I told that guy people work very hard for there money and y'all are taking advantage of regular
people you should be ashamed to work for this company.. I will call back I'm not gonna drop it. anyway I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Horrible Service
I would NEVER recommend using this company for any type of travel needs. I booked and paid for my vacation a month in advanced. After being up since 3am traveling I went to check into my hotel and was told they never paid for the two rooms I had booked. I ended up paying a 900.00 deposit just to be able to check in. I was so upset at this point. I spent the next HOURS trying to figure out what the deal was. Finally I was told that they would email me when it was taken care of. A few hours later I received an email stating it was resolved. Thank goodness I was now able to enjoy my vacation! WRONG!! I woke up the next morning to make dinner reservations for the week on the resort and was told I couldn’t make any. Again, the bill still had not been taken care of and we are into the 2nd day of our vacation. I was so mad and upset bc I was so looking forward to this vacation. I had to go back up to the check in desk and deal with it all over again.
I was so embarrassed that this was happening to me. Not being able to enjoy my vacation because Book It kept saying there were going to fix it but then wasn’t. One of the reasons why I wanted to go to this particular hotel was bc of the fine dining they had on the resort. By the time late afternoon it was settled on the 2nd day but the dinner reservations were fully booked for the week!!! Again, i was so upset I was crying that my vacation had been ruined. Not one person from Book It tried to fix things or make me happy. The only thing is they said I completely understand how you are feeling. REALLY??!!! No you don’t.. you are not here in my shoes.
The next week I emailed customer service at Book It about the horrible service I received. I had a representative call me a few days later offering me a 100.00 my bad gift card. Do they think that a 100.00 is going to make things ok for the horrible service I received! I told the representative that it was actually an insult to only offer me a 100.00 when per night to stay at the resort was almost 800.00 and you ruined two days of my vacation plus I wasn’t able to book dinner reservations for four of the nights. She said she would go to management and let them know how I felt and she would call me back. A week later there was no call back so I called them. Was told that Book it was only going to offer me the 100.00. I told the representative to keep the money. If I as a customer wasn’t worth more than that after ruining 2 days of my 5 day vacation not to worry about it.
I will NEVER use this company again!

Very Dissapointed
We booked a trip to London and picked a hotel that looked promising. A couple of days before we left we contacted the hotel and were surprised to find out they didn't have an elevator and our room would be on the 3rd floor. We asked if the room could be changed but they said maybe after the first night. I'm 74 with a heart condition so that wasn't acceptable. We called bookit and although they were nice, the answer was no, we couldn't change hotels and there was nothing they would do for us. So we made arrangements with a different hotel (not through bookit) and we got absolutely nothing refunded from Bookit. That costs us an extra $1,000+ so we won't be ever trying them again.
You Are Wasting Money With Bookit
Arrived to Jamaica on Christmas night and the ground transfer was not waiting. Customer service closed so find a cab. Cabs are not that cheap for tourist on Christmas night. Got to hotel, checked in and asked about dinner reservations. Everything was booked for every night so it's crappy buffet or go off site for dinner. This kind of defeats the purpose of all inclusive. In the end by using bookit.com I will pay more than if I would have booked directly with hotel. Live and learn I guess but don't think you are saving money you aren't.
Called customer service to at least get my money back on the transportation. The person could care less about my refund, she is sending an e-mail and letting me know.

Flight was changed and they didn’t inform us. Missed a day of vacation but hotel and shuttle were still charged in full for original reservation. Agents are incompetent if you need help. Do not use!!!!!
Unknowlegable And Incompetent
My booking is still not right due to Bookit agents being incompetent. I booked 1 trip but my credit card was billed for 2 so charges were declined due to suspicious activity. This messed up some parts of the booking(i.e. the insurance payment was declined due to inappropriate activity). Trying to contact Bookit to correct THEIR mistake was even worse. You are put on hold to speak to a rep then you are put on hold again because the rep can not answer your question or correct the issue which led to the call in the first place. I am still attempting to have my issues corrected (the ones caused by Bookit).
Will never use again!

How do I find a plane ticket I already purchase?
I am about tho book a trip to Mexico on their website but I am a little confused when it comes to the round trip transportation form airport in Puerto vallarta to hotels in Buceria? The website offer two different price! Two extremely different prices? Are they both the same company? Any clarification on these two prices would be helpful before I book our trip. Thank-you.
The reason for the difference in transportation to and from any airport in Mexico is: Mexico has a heavy airport tax, when leaving the airport you have to pay a heavy tax on top of the transportation, on returning to airport all you pay is the transportation charge.
Just curious....why are all of these reviews written on dates that haven't even arrived yet?
In my case, I was reviewing a resort I had stayed at the previous year and because of the good experience will be staying there again this year. I also commented on my experience with bookit, how they have always exceed my expectations and I always use them to book my vacations.
