Advantages: Good Picture/ Good Connectivity/ambili

Advantages: good picture/ good connectivity/ambilight is a nice touch

Disadvantages: Unsupported sound quality is not as good as comparable brands

Philips looks great. If this is your first large flat screen telly, you'll be blown away by its dark sleekness and the amount of space it saves - especially if you wall mount it. The 37" is a good size for a smaller lounge in that it doesn't take over the room. That said it still provides that home cinema experience especially with an additional sound system. We took a long time looking around for the right TV.

...you'll be disappointed with the Philips unless you're an audiophile but then you're likely to add a sound system anyway so this probably won't be an issue. The TV looks good and the unique ambilight feature is a nice touch. The TV does come with built in freeview which is a nice touch.

A Very Good Lcd Tv, The Philips 37pfl5603d/10 Pict

A very good LCD tv, the Philips 37PFL5603D/10 picture is very sharp and the colours are vibrant in SD and HD. The only issue being that fast moving black images have a slight red outline, which is hardly noticable and from what i have seen in other lcd tv's its quite normal. I also own a samsung 5 series and one of my friends owns a panasonic 37lzd80, I would say without doubt that the Philips is the better TV
