Glad It's A Spritzer
I like this product, mostly because of the smell. Makes me think of coconuts :) I don't use the cream, as I don't like getting it on my hands when I need to do other things. But the spritzer is great! A nice even sun tan, perfect and brown! Every time!

Avoid This Product!!
Used this product on my holiday to Spain and it managed to ruin it as i developed a very bad rash from it. It developed a few hours after I was exposed to sun and covered my arms and legs (legs really bad!!! -- wasn't allowed to wear any skirts or trousers above my knees so you can imagine how I felt when having to deal with 30 degrees outside...). I ended up going to the doctor on my return home, paid so much money for blood tests etc.
Please avoid this product if you want to enjoy your holiday.
I forgot to attach this link - makes interesting reading :)

Hi
The rash sounds like the one I used to suffer badly from, it can come on at any time any age - its called PLE - an allergy to the sun - I had it for 8 years and now all of a sudden it has gone :)
If you google sun allergy - lots to read about it.
Will be interesting to see what happens on your next holiday abroad if the same thing happens, mine used to strike by day 2, the one thing the dermatologist did tell me was to use sunscreens with no oil and take a anti histamine daily.
Good luck :)

Fabulous
It would seem from other reviews that you either love or hate piz buin products. For me they are the first choice every time helping me gain a deep long lasting tan without burning. My tan lines last from summer to summer with the tan these products help me get. Have used in the Greek islands, Majorca, New Zealand and skiing in France. All beach holidays were in August so intense sun.

The Best!
I have used this product for a few years now. I went
to Cannes last September for Six weeks and
it really kept my skin from burning. Each time I start with
the factor 30 then go down to 15 after about 10 days
although I need the 30 in my neck as its very sensitive
This year I used it again in Gran Canaria. We were
There for three weeks and it left me with a lovely
Colour which felt very good and No Burning!
I would highly recommend this product. One word
If you are going to France buy it before you go, as when
We were living in Cannes in 2008 we couldn't
purchase it anywhere. I have also been able to but 2 for 1 on offer
at Boots. A bonus as its not cheap!

Love This Product
I stocked up on Piz Buin tan intensifier before a holiday to Gran Canaria earlier this month. I have fair skin that is difficult to tan so bought this product because I wanted to make the most of the tan I could get from a week’s holiday. I used spf 30 for the first half of the week then switched to spf 15 and used the tan intensifier after sun in the evening. I can't fault this product at all I didn’t burn and have come home with a lovely golden tan, maybe even the best tan I’ve ever had. The lotion has a nice scent is easy to apply. It is hydrating and moisturising but not greasy and is easily absorbed. I have recommended it to all my friends.
After reading other reviews claiming this and other Piz Buin products caused rashes, swelling and blisters I was really concerned about using this product and was actually very scared that I would have some horrible allergic reaction that would ruin my holiday; but after considered the following things I carried out a patch test before I took the product on holiday:
1- Piz Buin is a leading brand manufactured by one of the best known company’s Johnston and Johnston so I’m sure it must have been well tested before being put on sale and if some chemical in the product can cause allergic reactions it must be in a very small minority of people. After all they do want to sell the product not ruin the company’s brand loyalty.
2- If you have a horrible terrible allergic reaction to a product of course you’re going to write a review warning other people, where as very few people will review to say it worked fine unless they were really impressed.
So to summarise, I really like this product and would definitely recommend it because it gave me a lovely tan and protected me from the sun. However it seems it has caused allergic reactions in some people so I would advise carrying out a patch test before smothering yourself in it :).

A Few Hours After Using This Product I Deveoped A
A few hours after using this product I deveoped a severe skin reaction. After 4 days I had to see a doctor ,had steroid cream and took drops. Even then it took days for the rash to subside. The rash came over my chest, neck arms and partly on my legs... ie the places where I had applied the tan intensifier.

Avoid - Even If You Haven't Got Sensitive Skin!
AVOID - even if you haven't got sensitive skin!
I would have to agree with the other reviews. I have never had an allergic reaction to anything in the past but after using this I had an incredibly itchy and irritating rash that I had to have steriod cream to get rid of.
It was because it was ONLY in the places that I had put the sun cream that made me realise that this is what caused it otherwise it might have gone on even longer (that the 3 weeks that it did!).
I noticed a sensitive skin version out this year so they obviously know the trouble it has caused people. I wouldn't even dare use this one after the trouble I had with the other one....and at over £20 a tube it was a costly mistake trying it!

Stay Clear Of Piz Buin!!! I Have Had Th
STAY CLEAR OF PIZ BUIN!!!
I have had three separate allergic resctions and have only just managed to pin point the culprit Piz Buin!
I went to Cyprus last year and by the 2nd day i was in hopsital on a drip. The rash didn't go for the whole duration and I was diagnosed as having a photoallergic reaction. The rash was arms and neck and face looked like heat rash but didn't shift.
The bank holiday just gone I used Piz Buin again on arms and chest and guess what... Seriously nasty rash, endded up on a course of high dose steriods along with creams etc. It took 10 days to go this time round.
Logic tells me that this is the cuplrit and that the ingredients react with the sun and cause the rash.
I would reccomend using a paraben free cream such as the Green People. I would also avoid using anyhing else with parabens in whilst on holidays as this may trigger. Another thought, take your own towels away with you to avoid any contact.
I am so releived that maybe or infact definately, I am allergic to Piz Buin and I may be able to have a holiday this year away from hospitals!
I am not an allergic person normally which gives me enough proff that it is the sun cream.
Spoke to customer services at Piz Buin and they advise people to report any rashes so that they can try and sort this. I mentioned this site and they say taht without the reports to them directly, they will never know.

As Has Been Indicated In Other Reviews This Piz Bu
As has been indicated in other reviews this piz buin product contains helioplex which unfortunately my husband discovered he was allergic to. He does not have sensitive skin and has never had a problem with any other suntan lotion. As other users have described he had the red pin head rash and his ears swelled and were "on fire." In fact he did visit the doctor previous to our 2 week hol abroad as he had used the lotion on a weekend break, and she wasn,t sure of the cause of the rash and gave him steroid cream. Luckily on holiday, I made the connection, as the rash was almost everywhere apart from where the lotion hadn't been applied under swimming shorts. The rash drove him mad and lasted for days after he stopped using the lotion. Myself and my children used Piz Buin lotion and were fine, but if using this for the first time please check for an allergic reaction as it could ruin your holiday.
Have rung Johnson and Johnson to return our last unopened bottle and explained the problem. Their helpful representitive confirmed that it would be the helioplex and that this is in all of their products and is the "new technology" in suncare! They are going to replace it with a different Johnson product. I hope this review saves someone from the nightmare rash this can cause.
