Cheap For A Reason!
This company are awful! They do not care about leaving you alone in the cold and dark and as a woman who has never broken down before I found this terrifying! My car broke down and then began working again, so I drove it with no issues heading towards a garage but didn't have enough fuel to make it there so had to stop. Unfortunately my car then totally died and apparently this was due to my negligence as they said I should have just driven to the garage with no fuel. EXTREMELY rude agent and manager who spoke to me in a condescending way even after explaining how I struggle with certain things. Zero care, zero will to help vulnerable customers and zero chance I will ever use this company or recommend them again! Complaint has been logged. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Cheap Because Too Good To Be True
Don't believe the price, its cheap for a reason, they will find any loophole possible to get out of recovering your car without first lumber you with a £120 charge. My car wouldnt start so I called asking them to recover it, as it was a sunday and no local garages open they advised they couldn't come out unless they could take it to a garage so I had to leave the car. Called again 2 days later having arrange a gagrage to take it to, I mentioned I was hoping it was just a flat battery perhaps due to lights being left on (but not sure for certain) and they said they could no longer come out to recover the car unless I paid £120 up front as it could be my own fault. This service is cheap for a reason, they want to wait until people are in a desperate situation to hike the fees up. Awful service and awful advisors avoid like the plague, pay a bit more for recovery where they will come out regardless of why the car won't start.

More Terrible Service
As a woman on her own, the first time I broke down (in the dark) I couldn't get through so had to give up on them in the end and make other arrangements. This morning, when myself and my partner broke down at 9 a.m we were informed that it would be between 1 and 2 hours before they could arrive, later they rang and said it would have to be 1.30 pm!!! When we said it wasn't good enough and that we would use another company instead they told us if we weren't there when they (finally) did arrive, we would be billed £120!
My advice is not to bother with this company.

Breakdown Cover Is A Joke
Had 'Full UK' 2gether breakdown insurance or so I thought. Called due to exhaust coming off hanger causing it to trail on floor so couldn't be driven. Then I found out the hard way this isn't a proper breakdown solution. Phone rang for 30 mins to be told the 'Full UK' cover doesn't cover recovery more than 25 miles from your home address (not mentioned in the policy as far as I can see) and YOU need to identify a local garage open and willing to carry out a repair yourself. Imagine what the police would say if you told them you were ringing around for a garage sat in a live lane on the M62? Is that full UK cover or any cover? What if you don't have a smartphone with a internet signal? They then cut you off and tell you to rejoin the telephone queue again once you've rung round and found a garage willing to attempt a repair. They are keen to tell you you're on your own if they are late and the garage has now closed and will leave you on your own whether it's fixed or not. Call out time is 1-2 hours. They asked lots of questions to try and wriggle out from providing any cover at all, mentioning additional costs they're keen to levy. Don't waste your money on a partial policy, their marketing claims it doesn't cut corners and covers any eventuality which is a blatant lie. Completely misrepresents the reality, you'll feel you've been tricked. If you breakdown in the middle of the night away from home good luck, you'll be lucky to get any support. Not a good experience. AVOID

Terrible Service
Terrible service by 2Gether. I just phoned up to report my car won't start. A customer service agent told me that I had a 'similar issue 7 months ago'. I explained that I got a new alternator fitted back in April so this is different. He then told me I had to prove I had a new alternator fitted or he wouldn't send anyone out with out charging me the minimum fee! How does he think I've driven my car for the last seven months??? Terrible company, never again.

Cheap Cover, But Watch Out For Unnecessary & Unfair Charges
Cheap cover, but watch out for extortionate extra charges
So 2Gether insurance do offer competitive quotes, but watch out for additional charges!
I recently moved to an area that was deemed 11% less of a risk. This change of address, however, attracted a 27% increase in my premium due to a £30 mid term adjustment and a £28 charge by the underwriters. 2Gether Insurance offered me a £14 reduction after I complained, but this still meant that I was having to pay around a 20% increase on my premiums to move to an area with an 11% reduction in risk. My trust in this company has been trashed by their greed.

Run Away From It Like The Plague
Called customer services and waited for 29 minutes before talking to a rude person who was not interested in helping me.
Wanted to change the start date of my policy before it started and I was told I had to cancel my policy, incur a £10 admin fee and do it all over again. Well, this is more than 45% the cost of the insurance for the entire year, which clearly is disproportionate.
Worst customer service I've ever seen - do not use them

Terrible Experience
This is my policy number to prove that I am a genuine customer of 2Gether Insurance.
My car wouldn't start when I returned to it in Tesco's carpark, having previously started it at home with no problems at all, I called the 2Gether number and was told that they wouldn't attend the breakdown because I was in Tesco's carpark and that I had to push the car out onto the nearest road before they would attend, I was on the ground floor carpark with VERY easy access, yet as an OAP with a serious blood condition I was expected to push my car out of the carpark onto the nearest road!!!!!!!
Can someone explain to me 2 things:
1) Where does it say on the policy that they will not attend Tesco's carpark.
2) What planet are these people from?

Please! Please! Dont Use Them
"FOOL ON YOU IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY"I took a policy in july for a campervan with an agreed value. Just received a letter on the 5th of December requesting my initial paperwork!! When I called them they said I wasn,t insured and had no agreed value!!! I have been driving for 5 months with no cover. They are very efficient at taking CASH and nothing else. If you own this company, you should be ashamed!!

Cancelled Insurance After 3mths , Cover , And Reci
cancelled insurance after 3mths , cover , and recieved no refund , plus a charge of £75 pound for the cancelation ,so paid for 12 mths cover , for 3mths , be warned do not go with this company , they are very difficult to get hold of aswell , waiting ages on the phone ,
Q&A
Does their legal cover include non motoring claims?
I have used 2gether for just over a year and find them very helpful
I would think that if you insure a motor car that's what you get, best give them a ring.
Having been 21 years with the AA Breakdown Cover and the current premium offered is £145 (new person cover is £122!). I have moved over to 2Gether Breakdown Cover and so want to know about this company. Can anyone tell me about their experience?
Why do I have to give 48 hours notice on your European breakdown insurance? It's no good for me , if a member of my family were to have an accident & I needed to rush over there I would have to go two days notice.
That's not insurance.
Why is this information not in capitals on page one? Why are you not told this when you take it out?
I needed assistance in Italy last year & was told I wasn't insured
As I hadn't given them 48 hours notice.
I feel like I've been mugged for £60.00
I broke down in the UK and had a decent experience,
but I have not yet driven abroad with this policy.
Were I to do so, I would certainly re-read it and ring them up to double-check the nature of the cover before I left.
The cover is of a basic and limited nature unless you pay extra for the duration of the trip to get the comprehensive cover. For such a cheap and flexible policy, one might expect limitations.
As the cover is also for a limited duration when abroad, you obviously have to inform them that you are going.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Sub-section B; European Cover; IMPORTANT;
[we] must be informed at least 48 hrs before any trip to Europe. failiure to do so will invalidate any claim. The maximum period in Europe must not exceed 90 days per trip. Proof of travel may be required.
Seems clear enough to me.
What are your cancelation fees?
Sorry, the punctuation was not clearer;
The contract I have says you can cancel and up to 30 days into contract 65% is refunded, up to 60 days 40% is refunded, up to 90 days 20 % is refunded, and after 90 days there is no refund.
