Do Not Book With This Company

We booked a holiday through Voyage Prive and Travelone were the contracted agents. This was to be a very special trip after I had been diagnosed with cancer and was recovering from an operation. It was on my bucket list to go to Italy on a gourmet trip and cooking course. We paid nearly £1000 each for 7 days. I didn't get the cooking course which was on the itinerary and the standard of 2 of the hotels was well below what we were led to expect.

Voyage Prive were very helpful Travelone would not accept that the holiday was not up to expectations and lied in their response.

Customer service is disgraceful. It was impossible to speak with anyone in the company. They offered no compensation and wrote that there was nothing they could do. No apology nothing, I am so upset that they spoilt what was to be a trip of a lifetime.

Absolutely disgusting service. They have no problem taking your money but will not take any responsibility for any upset.

Please go with another company DO NOT book with TRAVELONE they are horrible

Beware if you are thinking of booking a Travel One holiday!. I have just returned from a trip to Lanzarote which was my first,and will be my last,holiday with this company. I had visualised a big group of people to go out and about with on the night;however,on arrival, I was extremely disappointed to find that there were only two other people in my "group.(Would have been three but one was in hospital)

Everything fell flat around 10.45 after the hotel's entertainment had finished and the others had no desire to extend the evenings.The streets were deserted and it was around a 30 minute walk to the nearest nightlife so, as I had no-one to go out with,I was forced to retire to my room. Travel One's response to this was to say that they had had two late cancellations. I feel I should have been offered an alternative holiday or a refund. I may as well have travelled alone.

I have booked my first holiday with them this year and am seriously worried. It took 3 phone calls to have my confirmation sent to me by post!

Let's hope this is not the state of things to come.

Myself and 3 friends had booked a two centre holiday in Turkey and carefully planned our choice of flights to meet at Dalaman. This being a convalescing and relaxing holiday for me after an operation on my hand. We paid in full and our bookings and flight details were confirmed within 2 days. 10 days later we received letters stating our choice of resorts had been changed, but this was not to be the main problem. The other ladies airline details had not been changed but mine had. My airline had been changed to a low budget airline and the flight times were most unsuitable as I would arrive at Dalaman airport 6hrs 30mins late and leave the resort 4hrs 20mins before my friends. As I needed my friends help with personal care and luggage, (as I had only the use of one hand and arm)for the onward journey and holiday, I asked Travel One to honour my original airline and flight times, (being my confirmed booking) They refused and showed no compassion whatsoever even though I had travelled with them 6 times previously. I questioned why they would not do this even though there were still seats available on that flight. In reply to my letters they stated that under their `Terms and Conditions` they can change your holiday (obviously to suit themselves) as long as there is not a difference of more than 12hrs. To enable me to continue with my holiday, I had no option but to book a seat on the flight I was confirmed on in the first place, and pay an extra £453.93. I wrote and asked for a refund but that was also refused. My group of friends look forward to future holidays together with a different travel company.

This Company Travelone Produces A Brochure With Fl

This company Travelone produces a brochure with flight times etc. I booked in June to go to Turkey----my choice of holiday is always guided very much by the flight times I do not like to travel unsociable hours.. I paid an extra £50 to fly from Bristol, my nearest airport---the flight was to leave at 10.55 am which meant I could ask a friend to take me to airport. Tickets arrived this week for me to start holiday on Monday and the 'changed 'flight leaves at 7am which means I need to leave my house at 4am and will incur charges of £60 for airport parking. In the small print provided if there is not a difference of 12hrs----this can be done apparently. So a company can publish a brochure and not adhere to the times----if I had been informed at the time of booking I would not have chosen this holiday. They can make changes just before you leave when it is too late to cancel BUT if I wish to cancel and get my costs back then I need to cancel 70 days before----BUT I did n't have the information then!!!!! Yet another scam. SO DON'T BOTHER WITH THE BROCHURE---IT MEANS NOTHING.
