Beware

Not sure if they are full blown shammers or just unbelievably unprofessional.

Booked test online with a convenient date , a few days before start they then offered less hours than advertised and a much later date ! .still chasing refund a month later !

Never Saw A Test Or My Money Back After One Year

A huge waste of time and money. After 10 months I’ve not had a test or an instructor assigned to me. Completely disorganised and horrendous institution. What a waste of money- you’re better off sorting it all yourself as you won’t see a pass in a year let alone 5 days. Don’t waste your money here.

Terrible Company

Actually did the course but it was terribe, instructor barely knew how to drive herself. Asked them to book my test multiple times, no reply so filed a complaint with my bank amd got a refund within a few days. Anyone having issues getting a refund just go straight to your bank and file a chargeback, no point trying to argue with the company, they just threaten you.

Do Not Use This Company

I'd give them a 0 star but that wasnt an option.Utterly useless, inept and not a clue what they are doing. My son booked an intensive driving course, did the first 2 days then nothing, that was 2 months ago. They have now said his test is in Aberdeen in September, he lives in MK. I will be reporting them to trading standards. Do not book with this company!!!

Avoid This Company

I paid a deposit. I was surprised that they wanted to reschedule, but then on the revised date the instructor was a "no show" . It was rearranged again, but again , no show. Every effort to communicate by e mail , phone or text completely ignored.

Do Not Go With This Company!!

DO NOT GO WITH THiS COMPANY!!!!

I paid for a 2 week crash course with a promise that my daughter’s test would be booked at the end of it. She had 4 lessons from a driving instructor who offered my 17 yr old a cigarette and was so unprofessional then after 4 lessons.. we never heard from him again. I tried to contact both the driving instructor and manager by phone, text, email and post and was completely ignored. They owe me over £700 worth of lessons and I had to go elsewhere with a different company and pay again for the test.

Unless you have money to throw away then please please do not go with this company!!! Time wasters… not professional in the slightest. I have taken them to court to try and get some money back but it’s highly unlikely. Blows my mind these people so called companies are aloud to operate like this.

Beware Of This Company

Please avoid this company at all costs, They took £1280 from me they didn't explain a score card I need to hit the 5's to book my practical, then I was made aware I still need more lessons this has to be be done privately, they made me aware the times was 10am until 2.30 but theses times kept changing due to the instructor trying to fit other pupils in. It was a complete shambles from monday morning, sales team completely lied says he would put notes onto the system but yet failed to do so, customer service are very rude !!!! Please stay clear spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Avoid

The issue that I have experienced was: We paid for my husband's course. Lessons cancelled couple of hours before due to start. Was supposed to start his course 4th September. Offered a full refund after constantly being given excuses to why he hadn't had his lessons. We are now on 7 WEEKS of asking for a refund and STILL waiting!!!!! Weve been told 3 times in the last 2 weeks it's been sent back to our account and it's never arrived!!!

They are so unorganised that you cant talk to anyone and emails bounce from one person to another asking for the same details etc and its "being looked into". No one seems to know anything. COMPLETE SHAM COMPANY. SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO TRADE!!!!

Its A Sham

Do not use this company, its a sham. They took my deposit and cancelled a few days before the course was due. They offered a refund but 7 weeks later I'm still waiting. Disgraceful. Have taken out a formal complaint via my bank.

By way of an update, this company has now refunded my deposit. Shame it took the negative reviews to do what they should have done weeks ago.

Q&A

DInaxsa

If I fail do they give you free lessons?

Kellygould123

Yes but as soon as you book your next test they won’t give you lessons anymore and that’s when you need the lessons the most leading upto the test

I'm a 17 year old fast learner and I'm very eager to learn more and pass my test.

I have had a couple of driving lessons with a local instructor and I've insured my car provisionally. I've had a few hours experience and feel quite confident on the local roads and main roads.

I took my theory test and failed hazard perception (I passed the

questions). I would like to fast track the whole process and get my license in the next month.

What attracts me about 5 day is that there doesn't seem to be any messing about (booking tests and lessons, then waiting for them) it looks as though you blast out the whole process in 5days...... although I have seen some bad reviews.

I'm in two minds wether to book the course or not and would really appreciate an opinion on my situation and if the course would suit my needs.

I have thought about going with another company and doing block lessons however I would have to book my theory test separately, and wait a month to do it. I would then have to book my practical and wait a couple of months for that.

Please let me know what you think!!

Many thanks

Sdurgan35

Please what ever you do save your money an don't go with 5day, go with someone with good reviews 'castle' are a driving school based in Colchester my family have been taught by them and they really are fantastic, they also do crash courses which I done and passed, but if that's not an option for you then thoroughly research another good instructor that can also do crash courses, my advice is definatekybstay away from 5 say they are not worth the money, rude and unhelpful people

uropia1990

If you are a total beginner what is the chances of passing first time? This is an expensive course, I don't want to waste my money. Also do they book your theory test and practical test with the local place? I don't want to have to go to another city to do my practical and theory test.

newts99

Our daughter turned 17 on the 4th January 2016 and passed her driving test with 5 day on the 4th February 2016. As parents we took her out on the road as much as possible before going to 5 day in the 2 weeks after her birthday. When she arrived at 5 day she had basic knowledge, was able to use relatively good clutch control and fairly good road sense. She had not practised any theory other than ourselves testing her as much as possible when out and about on the road. She attended the Bristol Centre, she was not familiar with these roads as we live 40 miles away. The 5 day centre booked her theory test which she passed first time and her practical test was also taken in Bristol. I have 3 daughters, with her being the eldest and I can honestly say I will without hesitation be booking my other 2 daughters into 5 day without hesitation when they turn 17. I have nothing but praise for her instructor and the intense classroom theory lessons. She is an excellent driver with very good road sense and I feel very confident driving with her.

I think whether driving with 5 day or taking hourly lessons you need to be putting in some work/practice on the roads yourself wherever possible in between or leading up to taking the lessons.

I hope this helps and good luck.

risa93

Do they pick up and drop you off or do you make your own way to the center and back?

Sdurgan35

U have to make ur own way to there test centre an also to the theory test centre we also had to drop our son into a different town for a driving lesson before his test which we paid for...an even then he didnt get his full 2 hours only had an hour an half..seriously dont waste your money with them

Tanya278

I'd like to book with 5Day but as they're very expensive, I am not sure whether to book or not. If you fail they provide unlimited free lessons which sounds too good to be true.

There are always some hidden facts and I am not sure what it is with this company. I would very grateful if you could give your opinion on this?

Many thanks

Asday

So long as your attendance is 100%, if you fail your theory, they'll get you through it with more theory lessons.

I don't believe the same holds true for practical; I'd email their customer support and ask.

rajkiran87

What is the likelihood of doing my practical test on the last day of the course?

Asday

Impossible; the last day of your course is theory test in the morning, followed by another 4 hours of driving with your instructor.

After this, your course is complete, and they can book you in a practical very soon after the end. In my case, I said "yeah sure let's do it" on the Friday, and my practical test was on the following Wednesday. While I was there, people were discussing how long they'd been waiting, and it was on the order of 6 weeks.

mariendon1

Can you tell me which hotel you would recommend staying at while doing this course, as close to the driving school as possible?

Mukky-Muks

The Oaks Guest House

jainababojang

Is there a guarantee to pass your practical exam the first time?

stavrosflatley

Hi there is no guarantee that you pass your practical first time, but what i will say is they give you 3 free correction lessons before applying for your next test, i fortunately did pass first time, good luck xx
