Beijing Restaurant, Horsell, Surrey

Noisy place, and service so so. They have a funny habit of continually filling up your glass. One sip and they are there with a top up. Sweet and sour pork - my favourite - had too much sauce for my liking.

Had read reviews prior to visiting Beijing Restaurant, Horsell. Topping up is true - strangely my tea cup kept getting topped up, the teapot was taken away for a refill without asking, glasses topped up with water (my party had ordered some tap water too). Food was very good. Tea only charged once despite the pot being refilled at least twice. Topping up the drink (alcohol, tea, water) seems to be their perception of service rather than sinisterly hiking the bill - we were not harangued/hassled to order more drinks. Some staff appeared unfriendly, others were friendly and offered to take pictures for a birthday celebration - they even played Happy Birthday on the restaurant sound system.

My self, wife, daughter, and son in law have been many times the food is first class, hot and plenty of it.We have allways found the staff to be friendly and helpfull and highly recomend to any one.

We had a meal here for the first and last time last weekend. The service was atrocious both slow and unfriendly. All the staff seemed interested in doing was filling up your wine glass and then try and sell you more wine. The food was only lukewarm. it was very large, noisy and impersonal. A very poor experience

This must be the most unfriendly Chinese Restaurant we have ever eating in. The staff are brusque and hardly bother to pass the time of day. They only thing they are interested in is selling you more drinks. The food is average but when the food arrived at the table it was not very hot and we thought the the overall bill was high. The restaurant had a zilch atmosphere. We certainly would never return here.
