Worst Customer Service Ever Avoid Wigan

The worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Firstly ignored for 20 mins despite speaking to 3 staff to get a price for artificial grass that was not labeled or named just on a roll.

Eventually given a good price so was going to take it but price given was wrong and staff could not be bothered to even see which we wanted. Unfortunately I'm not a builder so I don't know. we liked it we wanted it so sorry that we were such an inconvenience ill happily take the £400 we were happy to spend and go elsewhere. You and the attitude of the wigan staff can hopefully fail and go into liquidation.

Only posting on here to warn others having spent 2 months being consistently lied to by there joke of a customer service team.

Quite frankly avoid visiting like the plague by all accounts online is not so bad but don't subject yourself to the experiance of visiting if you don't want to be made to feel worthless.

Rubbish Customer Service - Total Ignorants

Rubbish customer service ! waiting for response for 2 days . worktop arrived damaged, in order to have work-surface, we used part of it, and requested remaining length to be sent - they refused. Don't use them - deliver is free, but actually on their website is 75£ which means delivery is added to the value of the worktop - not free.

7 Weeks Wait Told 7 To 14 Days Still No Sign

Ordered a Worktop.

Was told 7 14 days.

We have chased and chased to no avail.

7 weeks in still yet we are still waiting on the Worktop.

Wigan customer services are really bad.

They say would phone back 5 times but they never did.

We had to email head office to get a response from the Wigan shop.

Here is hoping it will be here for Christmas.

Extremely Poor Experience!

I ordered some shiplap lengths from Savoy Timer on the 10th April with the expectation that it would be delivered within 14 days.

I received two emails on the 25th April and then two more on the 27th April to say that it would be sent out W/C 26th which was fine. I then waited and waited for a confirmation of delivery which didn’t arrive, so chased them up again by phone to be told that the materials weren’t in stock. However, they would be sent out for delivery on the 10th May to arrive the 11th as a priority because of the problems I’d had thus far.

On the 10th I received a call to say that it wouldn’t be delivered until Thursday 13th, this now being over a month on from placing the order and was told to email the supervisor to discuss options for refunding the delivery charge. I did this straight away and am subsequently still awaiting a response from him.

Needless to say the order didn’t arrive on Thursday as advised, so I called again this morning to be told that the materials wouldn’t be in for three more weeks!

I’ve decided to cut my losses based on the two options available, either to wait three weeks or have a refund!

I find it so difficult to quantify how a business can run in this way and treat a customer who has placed multiple orders over the past year, in such a manner.

Now begins the search for a similar product elsewhere, hopefully with a bit more care and consideration given to the customer experience!

Contractors Stay Away!

To all contractors looking for a reliable firm to use, stay away from Savoy timber.

I ordered worktops from Savoy on the 25th May by July the 3rd they still had not arrived. When they did arrived they were soaked through and unusable. A representative was at the forefront of this issue and refused a refund and didn't have the good manners to accept my call or return an email. Stay well clear. Work top express are a far more reliable firm.

Can It Get Any Worse

After searching the internet for decking kits I come across savoy timber just as lockdown kicked in ! Fast forward a few weeks and I managed to order a 4.8mtr x 3mtr decking kit for my garden with a few extra bits . Delivery was due on the 19th of June this was just in time for the other half’s birthday . Brilliant I thought I would arrange the chippy to build the decking for me on the weekend , tuffnells turned up and decking delivered or so I thought!!!!!! Cue 4 missing packages now comes the hard part 24 times I tried to call on the Friday and a further 34 to times on the Saturday no to mention countless emails . Anyway I managed on the Saturday to contact someone about the missing items and here comes the good bit ..... 9 decking boards had major things wrong ( big chunks missing and splits in the wood) sent photos of the boards to the email address. On the Monday the rest of my missing items turned up now I’m chasing the decking boards countless emails and phone calls unanswered until I received a email that have I got the missing bits about a week later . So I email back now my chippy had been round to check the framing timber and 3 bits of this was no good due to spilts fast forward a couple more weeks and my broken decking boards had been resent and arrived today my decking is 4.8 meters in length...... these decking boards sent are only 3 meters in length can you see the problem !!! More emails and cost to me in time of work ! The chippy has got fed up with being put off that he has quit the job ! Avoid savoy timber

Pretty Shocking Attitudes

Very poor indeed

Ordered 1st June and mistakenly paid by echeque which initially delayed the order which is fair enough! First call to them to ask about delay was bad and ended up receiving a call from a director who explained everything and my mistake and was very nice indeed!

I received an EMail to say delivery would be 6th July (understand due to covid)

I sent several emails to confirm this nearer the date and received no reply so didn't take a day off work!!

This is when the fun starts

Called this morning 6th to ask about delivery as Emails ahd went unanswered and was greeted by the WORST person ever to be involved in customer service!! We'll call him grunt as thats all he done!! Well that and want to argue with me!!

Apparently delivery was out for today with some company in Lanark who outsourced to outsource to outsource!! NOT really my issue is it? and if you had confirmed as promised by Email then there wouldn't be an issue!! So now I'm currently at work with no one at home to receive this delivery that maybe might arrive today or not!!

I know my order is not a massive financial order for Savoy BUT its an order none the less and bit of customer service and a little respect and manners cost NOTHING!!

Paypal now involved as frankly I'm sick of trying to deal with the stinking attitude on the phone and getting no where except angry!!

Read the bad reviews as a much truer representation of this company!!

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience in one of our stores. Our staff endeavour to cut orders as fast as it is safe to do so, unfortunately because we offer such a great cutting service it can get very busy. As far as price and quality go, I have to disagree, we stock lots of top brand hardware and constantly price check so that our customers get the best deal, that's why we stay so busy. We would love the opportunity to give our usual great service if you come back to our store in the future
