Avoid This Restaurant At All Costs........

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS........

We were at a family christening on 22/11/09 at Floyd's Wine Bar, Ballymagorry, Strabane, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland, BT82 0AT.

Re service - APPALLING.

Too little waitresses on duty. Managers nowhere to be seen. When I complained about a dirty teacup (having waited 3 hrs to get to the 4th course) she argued with me that it was not dirty ...... and I quote "that's just the way our dishwasher does them".

When I said "I'm not drinking out of a dirty cup. Please get me a clean one" she raised her voice and bellowed "there's no need to be so rude. That cup is clean. What do you expect? I told you it's our dishwasher. You don't need a new cup." I calmly requested a clean cup once again to be told "you are being ridiculous". So, we walked out ......... had we not been guests at a family christening, i'd have asked for the manager.

Four times we had to go get a waitress to take our orders, or clear tables. And not once did we get an apology or even any manners, or a vague smile.

RE STARTERS

The soup was way too salty, so that made it ok that I got about 50mls in the bottom of a bowl! Roll was half baked.

Other people in our party found that their chicken gougons were burned and stringy.

The garlic mushrooms were greasy and tasteless with just one teaspoon of garlic mayo on the side.

RE MAIN COURSE

All meat - gammon, turkey, pork and "roast" beef was pink around the edges and cooked in the middle. The only way this is possible is to MICROWAVE MEAT.

All meat was too salty, and tough. Brought it home for our cat, and had to cut it with kitchen scissors cos could not pull it apart !!!!!!! Didn't give it to the cat in the end cos it smelled revolting. And with both my husband and myself having sore stomachs after the main course, I thought better about feeding this "FOOD" to my cat.

Dessert (3rd course) , when it finally arrived, AFTER the 4th course, was bland and apple crumble had skins in it.

AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS. It should be shut down. Oh, and the toilet was stinking to high heaven ........
