Simply Awful

Continuous problems with importing numbers, after promises this was a simple process.

I've tried contacting VoiceHost several times about this issue and only get met by arrogance and technical jargon bordering on narcassium!

We will be moving away from this company as soon as possible!

Fantastic Service Throughout

My company had a torrid time dealing with a local telecoms company so I decided to talk directly to VoiceHost and they managed everything from the numbers to the setup of our Polycom phones so that the the following week I hadn't even realised the service had moved. I was expecting some sort of down time but it just worked and I didn't have to close the office!

I didn't however realise I could setup a direct debit but that was easy enough.

Great Support And They Setup My Tesco Voip Phone

I moved over from VoIP Phone as they couldn't get my phone online and after 20 minutes with the Voicehost guys they got me up and running.

I pay as you go which is free connection for my phone and just calls.

Pretty good value.

False Promises And Uninterested Staff!

My first contact with Voicehost was from one of there sales agents contacting me with the intention of trying to convert my small business to a VoIP system. I have over 50 lines all currently carried via VoIP and thought I would give them a chance to provide me with a quote, with which I could compare against my own bill. My Mistake!

From being promised a guaranteed 50% of my current bill that price suddenly skyrockets as I was told there platform only supports a specific phone which (unsurprisingly) was the most expensive on the market. When I mentioned this the agent became increasingly hostile almost trying to bully me, insulting my intelligence and implying that this is basic procedure for me to have spend almost £3000 to convert to there system.

After this call I decided to do a little personal research and trust me when I say there are far better companies doing this at a much better quality and a far better price! But unfortunatly the saga did not end there!

The said agent contacted me again to see if I would reconsider and offered me a reduced price, that I still found to be almost 4 times expensive as the next company! When I said to this agent this he decided to say he is sorry I felt that way and promptly hung up the phone and contacted me 8 times in as many weeks to change my mind. When I also requested to speak to a director I was always told it was not possible and was always passed to the same arrogant agent who I can only was never taught any manors!

Poor Show all round, terrible customer serivce and hideously over priced! One can only assume this company will not be around for long!

I have been working with VoiceHost for some time and I believe that they are extremely tech savvy and interested in what they do.

This Company Despite The Contract Not Allowing It

This company despite the contract not allowing it is trying to enforce fees on us for trying to export phone numbers (move away from them) lucky we only have a small number of numbers to deal with.

We are going to be taking this company to court for breach of contract. Stay Clear at all costs.

3pm - can't make a call. All day, every day. Directors and management are not able to field a call and accounts cut you off anyway if you withhold a bill.  we will be moving away.

The Service Is Rubbish

I used voice host several years ago and they were a wonderful company

theses days it seems that they don't want to help very much and try to bully you

The managers are faceless and the directors are un-contactable

I would strongly advise against using them if you want good service, bills that add up without errors and be able to talk to someone who is knowledgeable if you have a problem

How Things Change!

You I have used Voicehost for a number of years and have recommended them to others. However things have changed significantly for the worst over the last 6 months.

They moved us to their open-play broadband which was very painful. When it works it is good but if there is an issue we just get - it has been reported and we are waiting for an update and we won't get a response for 24 hours!

The VoIP service used to be great but once again we appear to have continual issues. We are told it is a local issue and we should update the router firmware which we did but to no effect. They then told us to change the router and switch which we did but still the same issues. I feel that support have fallen into - the computer says no - mode.

I think it is time to change VoIP supplier and see if that solves these new mysterious issues.

The only way it could get worse is if they moved their support to India.

I completely agree whats more is that no one has an answer and the managers seem to be busy or unavailable. we have moved away and found our new supplier to be a lot better

Hosted Pbx With Voicehost

This year, the team decided to use a VOIP provider called Voicehost. Using only a computer connected to the internet, this gives us a significant cost benefit over the line rental of a physical phone line. The IT Service Desk was refitted with gigabit Ethernet, networked desktop computers and IP phones. Voicehost allows users to pick a software-based softphone or a physical IP phone from a wide variety of choices and, based on testing carried out by the network administrators, X-Lite and the Linksys SPA921 was chosen. The installation of both software and hardware was smooth and all the information needed was provided by the support pages – it’s also nice to know that if they’re ever needed, the support team from Voicehost are fantastic too.

Using Voicehost, the team were able to make and receive calls as if using a standard telephone line - the only change being that the phones could be relied on, unlike our old lines! Throughout the launch, both staff in the ITSD and users calling in were impressed with Voicehost’s far-superior uptime and call quality. Right from the start, Voicehost has proved itself to be extremely reliable and versatile, handling several incoming calls and voicemails with ease.

One of the massive benefits of using Voicehost is the significant savings on outgoing call charges. Compared to standard lines, calls to landlines are much cheaper and calls to other Voicehost users are free. The saving from this leaves us with enough budget to actually use for new equipment!

We highly recommend Voicehost to our partners and clients and are looking to become a reseller in the future – we can't fault the product, service or attitude of VoiceHost and we look forward to working with them as our business grows.
