Terrible Experience, Wasted A Lot Of Time
Ordered a shed wich didn't arrived within promised period of 11 weeks. Cancelled and asked for refund, wich didn't arrived within promised period of 2 weeks. Now, I am making complains everywhere.

Do not buy from garden buildings direct summer house did not arrive so i tried to cancel and asked for a refund - over 20 emails on their website and no reply at all. called them (clearly abroad) and told only the cancellation team can do the refund who would call ….. Guess what they never did ! called again and they refused to give me the cancellation teams contact details to speed things up (let’s be honest the cancellation team simply does not exist!) they wouldn’t tell me which country they are in … they couldn’t even tell me where they are supposed to be located in the uk.. Just kept reading the address in worksop (poorly and mispronounced). they are still not returning emails or contacting me. i am now going through my credit card company to try to get my money back. i wish i has read these reviews before buying from them ….. Do not buy from this fake company… they withhold funds / wont call you back or answer emails / or tell you what country they are in “ do not buy from this company”

Order has been delayed for over 4 weeks now, still no delivery date available. Instead of asking for a deposit and then payment on delivery the payment is 100% upfront and nearly 11 weeks later still no delivery. Would be easier, faster and cheaper to order delivery from China.. and from the reviews I have read I know fear the quality will also be worse.

Shocking!!!
My wife ordered the Billyoh Gingerbread Junior Tower Playhouse for our Granddaughters as a Xmas present in plenty of time. She also spoke with the company to confirm a delivery date to suit us as we had a holiday booked. They assured us it would be delivered on an agreed date after our holiday.
My wife even called them from the airport before our flight to confirm it would not be delivered whilst we were away and was assured it would not.
Two days into our holiday my Ring doorbell sounded and there was a delivery man with our order on a pallet and no one at home. He then called my wife who reluctantly asked him to leave it on our drive behind her car.
We then had to ask our son-in-law to go round after work and move it into our garage for safe keeping.
Upon our return from holiday I opened the packaging to check the contents. Three of the packs were sodden with the contents sheet having disintegrated so I had no idea what should be in there.
Having obtained a copy of the instructions which had a list of some of the contents I proceeded to check it all very methodically.
We also had to put some of the wood in the house to dry out.
There were parts missing, 100mm and 70mm screws non-existent, not enough other screws and nails, no door handles, plates missing. The order had stable doors and one should’ve been larger than the other - not so!
Having asked them to send the missing items and promised them by a certain date we had to chase the items and finally received them days later.
I have now finished constructing it which tested my patience as the quality of what was provided was not what I would’ve expected. Shoddy workmanship, Wood not cut to size which I had to either cut or plane or sand to get right to fit.
We have paid for treated wood but I’m not convinced it’s been treated.
My sister in law and brother in law are also experiencing similar difficulties with this company.
If we had read previous reviews before considering our purchase we definitely would not have used this company.
I have given them a one star rating only because I could not give them zero.
Having now read a lot of previous reviews which date back 4-5 years I cannot believe this company have not improved and still trade.

Shed Or Sieve
After waiting nearly 10wks for delivery of my summerhouse, everything continued I am downward spiral. Walls and roof didn’t fit, the doors were warped and windows for them were wrongly sized and panels didn’t align properly. I purchased the upgraded roofing which was supplied with a spray adhesive but no instructions were supplied.
So it was up at long last with the 4-8hrs becoming 2 full days. Then it rained! And you probably can guess it came in - mostly through the back as there was no overhang on roof, with the rain going straight to the back corner and down the outside of the wall. I rectified that by adding and upstand to the two rear sides and a run off at the corner where they met!
I thought job done problem sorted - just in time for more rain. No it didn’t come in there again but this time in all but one of the panel joins. More emails and messages to GBD, even to the CEO - response ‘automated replies’.
Judging from the response to other customers in similar dilemmas I don’t hold out much hope for any financial redress, though I have requested a full refund as the building is ‘not fit for purpose’. It makes one wonder if GBD are in any sort of financial difficulties like so many companies - whatever the reason GBD appear to be ok about disappointed and frustrated customers continue in their complaints and misery.

Ordered shed 12’ x 8’ 25th of may delivered 1st June missing parts; both doors and the roof missing, one gable end broken, delivery driver on video call at time of delivery and for whole duration of delivery had no interest in me the customer, I suspect this is why he drove away with some of my order still on his truck.
Parts to be delivered couple of weeks later but delivery driver reported that nobody was at address and nowhere safe to leave parts. I have Ring doorbell and my front & rear gardens are enclosed with fences and gates, regards anyone calling at my door Ring recorded nothing other than myself, family members & the postman on that day, so it would be reasonable to say that the delivery driver had not called to attempt delivery at all.
Nearly two weeks later missing parts delivered along with gable to replace damaged one, gable end delivered was for wrong side despite having sent pictures to help identify which side needed replacing.
One week later correct gable delivered.
On starting to build the shed I discovered that I had not been supplied enough rails to finish the panels as had only been sent rails for 8’ x 8’ instead of 12’ x 8’ shed also missing was the gap fill times 2 for rear of shed. As I had started the build I could not wait another two+ weeks for parts to be sent so had to buy four lengths of 27mm x 44mm x 24000 from B & Q.
When doing the roof felt I followed instructions as given; measuring shed then adding 140, shed was 3570 + 140 x 3 which leaves the felt short by 130 on the last strip from a 11m roll I also found that four of the six sills were unusable due to being twisted and bent. I contacted Customer services again on 3rd September and was told over the phone that parts were ordered and would be sent within two days. I then received an email requesting pictures which I provided. 11th September I contacted Customer service again as nothing had arrived to discover that none of the items had been ordered at all. Ordered over phone after a lot of debate and received two weeks later.
As others have reported build quality is very poor gaps between panels, roof supports not thick enough to support 8 foot roof (sags in middle). Customer service poor. Valued as a customer again poor.
As advised on other reviews here, do not buy from this company service & quality is awful.

42 Emails, 18 Phone Calls, 5 Missing Deliveries.
The issue that I have experienced was: One roof panel of this shed had a massive crack and hole in the panel. After fitting and noticing I first contacted the supplier on the 29th May. It is now the 7th August and after 42 more emails, after 18 phone calls and after 5 "deliveries" that were rearranged and never arrived, I still do not have the item I paid £1,300 for.
It occurred on: 2023-05-29
This meant that I have had to take 5 days off from work and seeing my family to wait for deliveries that never arrived. I have had 42 emails. I have called I'm 18 times. I have been promised multiple times that customer support staff would call and email me every day back to keep me informed. I have received nothing back. The hole in the roof damaged over £700 worth of Solid Marine Grade Ply Flooring and also £500 Plasterboard in the shed, all water damaged also. I have also had to spend months travelling 100-110 miles to drive to work as I had to cancel all the contractors as we can't complete this Office shed as the frame is damaged.
I want my replacement parts and I want significant compensation for the damages caused over almost three months. Just hearing that as of today 07-08-23 there is no delivery date on your system.
I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply to this email address.

Awful Cusotmer Service, Delays And Incomplete Delivery
We ordered the Lollipop Tower and slide playhouse on 2 May for our daughter's birthday. After promises of three delivery dates (all of which failed to materialise) we finally received the item on 16th June and guess what? the delivery was incomplete! They promised to deliver the missing parts in 3 -5 working days but then we got a message saying it wouldn't be until 11 July (nearly another month after the botched delivery! and three weeks after our daughters birthday). Their customer service is really awful, after spending time making numerous calls and sending emails, they just fob you off and give you any old excuse to get rid of you. From all of the negative reviews below - where people have had very similar experiences it's obvious they can't deliver a decent service. By the way if you're reading this Garden Building Direct our order number is GBD1941107 just to save you replying and making out you're genuinely concerned. You really are one of the worst companies I've been unfortunate to experience. To everyone out there looking to purchase from this company - look elsewhere.

Very Poor Quality And Service.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. We ordered a 6' x 6' Lincoln 4000 greenhouse. Firstly the part number were wrong in the instructions so I had to use ingenuity to work out what fits where.
The product is substandard in both the quality and flimsy design;
Many of the panels were warped and poorly finished panels with knots in the wood so it did not fit together properly, in particular getting the pitched roof panels to fit together without gaps was impossible. The central roof truss was both very poorly made and too flimsy. If I had assembled as it was the roof would have sagged. I had to reinforce it with more timber. I had to fit lead flashing to the roof ridge to seal it, the instructions just say use silicone to seal the building - this is a serious cop out.
Lastly the doors did not fit they were too wide. The only way to contact them was via email. They would reply with an automated "we are sorry...." reply. After supplying them with the pictures they requested they said they would replace the doors. This took a month before they finally send us another single door that STILL does not fit. I will have to adjust them to fit. Worst product and service I have ever experienced!

Appalling Quality And Service
Avoid. Staggered that there are any positive reviews. Timber was split and very poor quality even with weeks of running repairs to stop leaks, glue split timbers, add extra bearers underneath and corners. Had to replace the entire roof after a month of leaks and add an extension to stop water running in through top of windows and doors. NOT fit for purpose.
