we took the most expensive tour to italy offered by perillo. the hotels, tour leader, tour guides and transportation all were first class. the dinners provided for us were far below our expectations. the brochure said they would take us to many of their favorite restaurants in venice, florence and rome but when we arrived we were given a very limited and preselected menu. for example, our first night in venice the only entree options were beef or calamari. in a country famous for its food, our meals ranged from "fair " to "very poor". i thought this aspect of the tour was extremely disappointing.
