I Bought The Ixtreme To Replace My Acer Laptop For

I bought the ixtreme to replace my Acer laptop for my birthday, as I wanted a desktop with more power. I purchased it from PC World, on it's own, for around £400+.

The model in question is fitted with the Intel Core 2 Quad processor at 2.5ghz, 4GB DDR2 Ram, 640GB hard drive space, nVidia 7100 integrated graphics and came with Windows 7 64 bit.

As it stands the ixtreme is well equipped for a wide range of uses such as media and gaming, being customisable and versatile. The 64 bit OS allows for greater use of the RAM and provides for better image and video processing and you have an extra PCIe and more standard PCI slots for device expansion.

On the front you have 2 USB ports and range of slots for various media (SD cards etc) and mic/headphone ports. There are also two more USB ports on the top at the back, and more on back again. It has a nice professional look.

For casual users, this PC provides excellent performance in the price brackets. For those of you, like me, who plan to play games or use a lot of media, it could do with a 'real' graphics card as the integrated stuff doesn't really cut it with the more modern games. Either way the M3720 is a very capable PC which can adjust to a changing market with its ability for expansion and performance.
