Do Not Rent From This Niza Cars Malaga!

DO NOT RENT ! The Malaga Airport depot are SHAMMERS. They will threaten and scare you until you buy their insurance.

I bought AXA insurance and the they spent ages telling me that the AXA Insurance is useless and if I didnt take theirs then every single tiny thing noticed would cost me 400Euros, and it is for me to claim it & try to get my money back.

On my return I saw the same routine played out by a French Family there to pick up a car and I heard the same well rehersed threats.!

Never Renting From Nizacars Again

Rented from them 2 times, never again.

First time everything went well (we had the full coverage insurance on both occasions). Our car was even broken into and they changed a new car for us with absolutely no problem.

BUT the second time though…

We were dumb enough to trust the company since the first time went well, unfortunately.

Therefore, this time we did NOT take photos & a video of the car upon receival, unfortunately.

We returned the car normally after a week and when we got to the airport, I got a phone call from Nizacars office. They told me that there is a tray missing from the boot of the car.

As I was ABSOLUTELY sure that there was no tray in the boot when we got the car, I told them that they must be mistaken and asked for a photo of the ”missing tray”.

A few moments later I get an email from Nizacars office of a Renault Arkana boot with no ”tray” and a part of the boot circled in red as to show where there is supposed to be a tray I guess? The message said that the photo was taken before handing over the car to us and there was absolutely no ”tray” in the boot. In the email had been stated that they are going to charge me for it and if I had any complaints, they would not discuss the matter further and instead I should contact some other line of theirs.

At first the payment was 380€, and after I told them that this is clearly a sham the price dropped to 180€.

We’ve spent over a 1000€ in renting cars from nizacars but I can guarantee you that this was the LAST time.

I Don't Recommend It! They Try To Deceive The Customer!

In January 2023 my husband rented a car to Barcelona from Niza Cars by Rentcars. We paid a full insurance valid for Spain and subsequent countries so as not to have a headache in case of unforeseen events. Upon arriving at the Niza Cars office at Barcelona airport, we were told that we would have to pay their insurance because this payment on the Rentcars website would not give us coverage in case of accidents. We did not pay because we had already bought this total insurance but we were treated very badly because of the refusal. They tried to push us insurance in every possible way and treated us in an extremely rude way. In the end we still had to pay an extra fee to be able to leave with the car from Spain and the attendant also insinuated that I was falsifying about the days I was going to be in France. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM NIZA CARS AGAIN!!!

Worst Hire Company Ever! Do Not Use

February 2023 and the same terrible service as descr6by many below. The salesman became very aggressive when I declined his insurance at €400. He also said breakdown cover was not included. I did not get a written contract and he literally threw the keys at me and told me to get out. No handover of the car or check.of damage.

When I returned the car he hurried us into the shuttle bus, saying he would check the car later. Then no surprise at the airport, I got an email with 3 photos of tiny mark's that he said i would have to pay for from my deposit. Exactly the same as many writers below! My UK insurance will cover this, but that is not the point. This company are running a sham and incentivise their employees to operate it. Avoid at all costs.

I paid for everything on the internet but they want to charge me for the insurances again. I did not accept it so I have to rent from another company.

Unprofessional, Unfair And Rude!

I would not recommend NIZA car rental company to anyone. Definitely not, if you are using a different company for the insurance. I am renting my cars via Carigami/AutoEurope where I pay for the insurance. Most car rental companies accept the fact, that my insurance is covered elsewhere, although they always try to sell you more, but generally understand, just take a higher deposit, but they stay fair. I have never run into issues before. With NIZA, the experience was bad. When picking up the car, the sales person was really unfriendly because I didn't want to accept their insurance offer. He made a long list of all things that could happen to me, if/when etc... and in the end said, I can only hope for you that all goes well. It was nearly threatening, to a point that I thought, this guy might send someone to follow me and scratch the car on purpose, just to punish me... In any case, I was sure, they would find me something afterwards. And indeed, they found a little scratch (5mm) on the registration plate, which I am 200% sure wasn't me! I had no time to argue, and I didn't have a photo for that exact spot, so I paid. We were with friends, who had the same car as us. Their car was already scratched a little bit everywhere at pick-up. Same story! They also found a very tiny line on that car, and our friends also didn't have photo proof of that exact spot. NIZA cars insisted, the lady was really unfriendly... took all her time (45 minutes) when they had told us it will take 10-15 minutes to return the car. We nearly missed our flight. Clearly, we would NOT USE this company again, with such a disappointing service. Just be aware that if you don't use the full insurance package provided by them, you can be 100% sure they will find you something and make you pay!

BE VERY AWARE

There is definitely a business model here.

Take their over priced insurance which is very aggressively offered and all is well.

If not when the vehicle is returned they will make every effort to charge for any damage.

One of my scratches was on the driver side mirror which was noted I went back to the car and it had to be pointed out to me before I spotted it, it was that small.

The other was under the rear bumper which could not be seen from a standing position.

This was not damage caused by reversing but by the car bottoming out. As there was only two people in the car and we only went on major roads I pointed out that this could have been our damage.

From then on it was!! Have you taken any pictures of damage when you picked the car up NO then we will charge you what we want.I asked for break down of invoice and was refused.

£400 paid to someone who was genuinely delighted to earn their commission.

RUN AS MONEY-MAKING MACHINE with no regard to customer and their legitimate complaints.

Since returning I have looked at other reviews on this company by customers who refused the company’s insurance and their experience is not a coincidence.

I am over 70 years old and this is the first time I have ever sent in a review good or bad.

I am sure I will receive a reply, but like the others there will be only the trotting out of the legal position because how can you prove that the damage was already there unless you photograph every square inch of the car.

NEVER USE AGAIN however will not bother Niza Car they have made their money

Avoid At All Costs.

I picked the car up from Malaga Car Hire/ Niza, I did not take out their insurance as I have my own, woman there said take photos of any damage, then we look at yours and ours and see if there is any extra damage. I didn't take any photos as they already had their own photos so didn't see much point. On returning the car, the man on the desk came straight over and said, did you take photos before you took the car, I said no as Niza had photos of any damage themselves, he replied, well you didn't take out our insurance so I will have to inspect it. He looked directly at the door lock emergency key entry and said, someone has tried to steal the car and has damaged the lock,(although there was no damage visible to the naked eye) and that will cost to repair so you should have taken out our insurance and taken photos. I replied that even if I had taken photos the damage would not have been visible. I asked how much will this cost and he immediately replied 390 euros, but you can claim it back on your insurance, I had to pay it or he would have held the 1000 euro deposit I had leave for not taking out their insurance.He then said he will send all photos and details by e-mail, which three days later he still has not done. He never bothered to check the rest of the car or see how much petrol was in the tank on return. I know there was no damage to the car and it was parked for the duration of my holiday in a quiet village directly outside a police station. Judging by comments on this site and many other sites a lot of people have had similar experiences with this company. When I come to claim on my car hire insurance I will be making a point of explaining all this to them and telling them the company is claiming off insurance firms for bogus damage and hopefully something will be done to crack down on this behaviour. I can only urge people to avoid Malaga Car Hire/ Niza at all costs as it will end up being the most costly car hire they will ever take out.
