Bus Crew Not Following Traffic Rules And Over Speeding
Myself travelled from tuticorin to pollachi bus driver was over speeding and not following traffic rules they must learn basic traffic rules to park the bus on safer place they parked the bus NH47 road it's very bad and it doesn't ensure safety to passenger on board so please train the staf with some basic rules and regulations

If I could give no stars at all, I would. I've been travelling for 7 years now and A1 Travels is the worst. Not at all reliable, worst customer service, worst vehicle maintainance etc... I would gladly choose a local bus with no cushions over A1 Travels any day! Very unreasonable when comes to refunds and other formalities!
Absolute Shambles
Firstly A1 rang us after we made our booking to tell us the flights we had booked were not available. This resulted in more baggage expenses and travel costs. Having arrived at our hotel, which we booked due to its lovely coastal outlook and ease of access. We were told the hotel had no room for us. We were moved to another entirely unsuitable hotel. Despite repeated calls to after sales nothing was done to help us. Some staff were down right rude. We have tried to claim compensation but they do not reply. Have now contacted ATAB and are considering small claims court. Never ever use A1 travel.
Everything Went To Plan
Excellent company to deal with, all information accurate and received in plenty of time. Particularly impressed with airport transfers as first time we have visited Kefalonia. PDF and text received to give us details 24 hours in advance, we arrived 30 minutes early but driver at airport waiting for us and easy to recognise had a board with our name on. Will definitely use A1 Travel again to book our holiday. All on time which reduces your stress when having to get to and from airports and hotels really enjoyed the holiday.
Flight Reservation
Booked a holiday with A1 travel and want to reserve seats on the flight. Ryanair cannot help until they have a flight reservation number which they said A1 travel would know. But A1 travel seem unwilling to respond to several e-mailed requests on the point. I do wonder if I am even booked on the plane.
Do Not Use A1 Travel
We booked a holiday I February to Tenerife. Due to my mother's back condition we spent a large amount of time searching for the right hotel (no hills, padded sun loungers, evening entertainment, close to shops and restaurants). We booked out flights and hotel through A1 travel. The booking process was easy (a clear sign it was too good to be true.) On arrival at the hotel we were told that we were not booked into the hotel. The receptionist showed us and email he had received from the tour operator cancelling the reservation and no reason giving. We called the rep who said she had not arrivals that evening! The receptionist went on to say that the hotel was fully booked but as it was getting late we could pay for 1 night and sort in the morning. We did so and got to our room to only then get a call from the rep to say we were a different hotel which was a 15 minute walk up the hill. We went back to reception and the receptionist said "yes your rep was just here". She did not even have the courtesy to see us face to face. long story short the replacement hotel was not up to the hotel we booked. We did make calls to the tour operator's intermediary who apparently make the reservations to be abruptly told that what did we expect them to do we would not be changing hotels and that was that. I price checked the hotel we were in and it was £300 cheaper.
On our return we did complain to A1 and of course it was not there fault. After numerous letter no one could explain why the first reservation was cancelled nor produce this email. I did consider making a claim but to be frank I do not have the time or patients to do so.
Best advice is do not use them and use a reputable travel agent.
I did settle for a small amount of 70 euros which they then sent 2 cheques for. I have then tried to contact A1 to be told a call back then told the lady who deals with complaints only corresponds by email!
On reflection I should have read more reviews of them as it seems that a change of hotel is a common problem.
Avoid Them At All Costs
Avoid them at all costs, they are nothing short of wanting to rinse out every penny out of you.
Lynn You Saved Our Holiday
Booked with A1 travel to lanzorote and was not given the correct information on location etc of the hotel I.e was not in the area we was told it was and was in fact very far out from where we was told we would be , after trying to find the said hotel for a few days on line I began to worry as no where could I find it nor any reviews ,after phoning A1 travel on a few occasions I was called back by Lynn , she confirms we was not in the agreed location and changed our hotel to the place we originally had requested to be not sure what would have done had Lynn not be so good at her job ,thank you so so much Lynn
Dis Interested Sales
had a quote given by an advisor.. we agreed that she will send me an email and ill check everything and call back to pay.. never got the email.. phoned back a bit later and another advisor was helpful and tried looking for the name of the person I spoke to but couldn't find it.. she finally found a name that sounded similar and said she will email her. She asked me to call back in an hour in case I didn't hear back. Guess what? I just found somewhere else to give my business.
Avoid Like The Plague
We booked a 4star hotel La Fonda that was advertised on A1 travel for July 2017, I emailed hotel to ask for see view to be told we was definitely not booked in there hotel !! So I checked accomadation voucher to find we were booked into La Fonda apartments 2star !! Completely different place ! Rang A1 to tell them to be told it was a printing error on there site and they was advertising the wrong hotel but would try there best to get us in the one we wanted, 5 days on after numerous calls to be fobbed off with them saying they can not find anything to suit so gave us a refund! We are left with flights but no hotel and the hotel we wanted is now fully booked!! Had I not rang we would have turned up to a awful apartment! Shocking
Q&A
A1 Travel advertises the low priced packages, but when you try to book them, prices are always £100 - £200 more, therefore you could never get an advertised price. Why the company can't put the real prices, that it will not look, like misrepresentation?
Totally agree would never use again
Why did A1 Travel charge us £15 each to print the boarding passes, but they never did, and never refunded the money?
Why not ask A1 Travel?
I have heard and read really bad reviews about the hotel we have booked and only paid a deposit. Are you able to change hotels?
I have had two successful bookings with A1 one in Majorca and the other in Corfu and have enjoyed both with no hassles the hotels both times were up to expectations and will be using them again in Club Romani I would recommend a car as you area bit stuck without one although there is a regular bus service
