Cata Oven Bought From B& Q
Appalling piece of equipment. I had it repaired within its warranty period and then repaired- or rebuilt throughout with my insurance cover at least 4 times. Now after 5 years I am replacing it as is now irreparable and a total waste of money.

bought this miserable oven five months ago. So far they fixed it 3 times. It's already falling apart starting with hobs. Be ware of cata. Don't you ever think of buying anything from this brand. It's a complete waste of money and nerves

Worst Product Ever !!!!!!!!
What an absolute load of rubbish, bought cooker and hob and after less than a year it broke down, took three weeks for engineer to come and out and was in for 3 mins and left. Customer service could not contact engineers and it took a further week for spare part to come. engineer came to replace part and spoke to me like a five year old and blamed my new house electrics although everything else is working. shook his head and left, he was so ignorant and customer services were useless.

Purchased oven Xmas eve 2014 broke August 2015 took 10 days to get a replacement from ringing everyday being given excuses and passed to other departments. Asked for phone number of cata was told to look on the Internet . Very disappointed with customer service. Will not recommend cata products to anyone

Very Poor Quality Of Material, No After Sale Service
I purchased a Elegant Hob on 17 Jul2014 . With in a month All the plates started pitting and the Burner screws rusting and base discolouring . No after sales service available . No response from the company or the Dealer Now two burners have stopped functioning. Never go near any Cata Products

Purchased the CATA UBECT60 electric hob in August 2013, it failed just 4 months after light use. The engineer has been out to fix the hob 4 times, each time he has the same pathetic look on his face as CATA insist he replaces the same part over and over again. CATA will not replace the hob as they say "there is no defined SLA in getting this fixed", so we just have to wait until either a miracle is produced or the hob fixes itself. SO, Dear CATA firstly your product is rubbish and your customer services are even worse, you might as well outsource to India as at least the Indians are polite. PLEASE stick this where the sun no longer shines

Cata Rubbish Stay Clear
We have been living in a rented property for 18 months now having to cook on this Cata electric hob and oven.
The hub has had three replacement rings, the power keeps going off, I think they say "as a thermostat" but if you set at no 4 and then light goes out and attempt to turn up to no 6 it still refuses to work. The rings do not fry properly when cycled off. We cannot cook properly with these rings do not buy they are just a waste of money.
Landlords please take note and look after your tenants!!

Exactly what happened here.. I have now had the hob 2 years and never had 4 rings working. Even the guys that service most Gas Hobs around here wont touch them. Those that do have no control, the size of the flame on full blast appears to be little bigger than the simmer, which boils anything your cooking.
Only positive is the gas on black gas looks nice, but others are just as good looking, if not better, and you may be able to use them.
The poeple selling these (B&Q in my case) should be shot for offering the product.

Terrible. Thermostats just don't work. One minute 3 on the dial is boiling over, the next it's on 6 and can't even hold a simmer!
Not even a yr old and has been like it from day one.

Yes it was cheap but when one ring stopped working 3 months after purchase i was told by B&Q to call CATA. I called them, with no sucess, after several times i gave up. Now i have only 3 rings but even these 3 rings started to weaken or something, it takes ages for anything to boil, cook, fry on any of the rings. Not even 2 years old and its not fit for purpose. Terrible product, no lifespan whatsoever.
Do yourself a favour and buy something else.

our landlady brought a cata model EC600 from b & q after 3 weeks our wife was cooking a casserole & went to check by lifting out of oven & put on hob. as she was doing this the glass of the hob crack. would this come under the warranty as a fault good, as we now have to pay for a replacement & does anyone else know of this happening
