Even As A Lower Handicapper, Thought Would Try The
Even as a lower handicapper, thought would try these and after Mizuno fitting got them with TT Dynamic Golds. Now been playing for a season so my thoughts:
Pros: Reasonably forgiving and off centre hits still go well. Consistent distances. Due to little offset can move the ball (easier to draw) and hit high/low, punch shots etc. Long (probably due to very strong lofts.) Excellent from tee and softer conditions/longer fairway grass. Usual nice Mizuno forged feel.
Cons: Not good from tight lies/hard ground. Don't like the look of longer irons (you can see scoop at back.) My advice is to ask to try all shafts as they seem to use TT DG as standard and there are better shafts around - I changed mine to KBS mid season. Wedge/9 iron don't have the precise feel of my Mizuno wedges and beware gap to GW due to 45 PW. Given what I know now, would probably have gone for the MP52s/62s or a mix.
Wonderful I also heard about tmallgolf who are Introducing the new Mizuno MP 53 Irons featuring a Diamond Muscle design and āVā slot Milled Pocket Cavity.
