So Far, So Good.

I bought a TP12 driver for a tenner and am driving well with it.

Disregarding the technical arguments, it feels comfortable and gives me confidence in driving the ball cleanly, straight and a fair distance.

I like the weight and flex of the club.

For a tenner I'm not going to gripe about it.

I'm realising that psychology's an important aspect of golf.

Seriously, Dont Waste Your Money! These Clubs Are

Seriously, dont waste your money! These clubs are truly awful and you would be much better off going to your local PGA Golf Professional who can make sure you are set up with a set of clubs that will help you play the game rather than mess your game up!!

Shafts are far too whippy if you hold onto the head and the grip you can physically twist the club around, imagine what is happening when you are actually swinging! Components are pretty bad too.

Your local golf pro has been trained to look after you and will make sure that any clubs you leave with will be right for you. If they are doing their job properly they won't sell you anything they'll only let you leave with something that will work for you and the end result will be that you will get more enjoyment out of your game of golf and you will improve!!

Not Bad Clubs If You Make Sure To Stay Away From T

Not bad clubs if you make sure to stay away from the graphite ones! Had a set a while back and they were AWFUL! Get steel shaft instead as these are far more reliable and instantly kills the "Whippyness" of the graphite.

Also be sure to stay away from the graphite drivers.. Those are catastrophically bad.. again try if you really HAVE to.. get a steel driver.. it still wont be great but for £8 its not a bad way to start golf

The main problem is that there are a lot of golf snobs out there that look at the word DUNLOP and look down at you If you can ignore them and listen to my words you'l be getting a nice set of starter clubs!

These Clubs Are A Waste Of Time And Money You Will

These clubs are a waste of time and money you will never get better if you buy these, i bought a set when i just started out 3 years a go and was happy hitting my driver 175 as i got better i spent £ £ £ £ on lessons to get more power and spent hours every day working on my swing, i still can't hit the driver past 175, just bought a set of cleveland cg tour irons and i hit the 6 iron170, the trouble is WITH the dunlops the shafts are only good if you have a very slow swing due to the torque and whippyness of the shafts, if you want a cheap set buy second hand and stay away from dunlop.

Very Pleased With The Dunlop & Donnay 65i Set Over

Very pleased with the Dunlop & Donnay 65i set overall. Shafts are longer than my Howson clubs were, and this may be what is contributing to my getting more distance from them. The shafts flex a bit more than the steel shafted Howson's, but again I've found no discomfort from this. Good beginner set, comfortable to use and generally very forgiving.

I Bought These Clubs As A Starter Set For Pennies

I bought these clubs as a starter set for pennies from sports world. They were very good for hacking my way round the golf course and I've had them until now where I'm a handicap of 15. I didn't like the driver from the offset so splashed out and bought myself a Cobra 454 and have since went on to a Callaway ft 3 which is on offer at the moment at a reputable US based British golf site ( I don't want to advertise) back to the clubs. As a beginner club they will show you no mercy and you must improve to use them properly (book a golf lesson and concentrate on the irons) but they do hit the ball straight (natural fade for me) and the trajectory is good balancing length and accuracy. Now I'm much improved I'm noticing the negative aspects more and have passed them on to a pal for some beer tokens. I'm using Callaway X 12's now and i appreciate the difference. In short they are a good club and have felt a good club for the last few years now I'm improved they feel like a cheap club which indeed they are but they served me well. Apart from the 7 iron which had a totally wrong setup.

You Get What You Pay For. If Your A Beginner Who D

You get what you pay for. If your a beginner who doesn't want to make a huge investment their ok.

A set of clubs that can get a lot more players on the course.

I, Like Many Others Bought These Clubs Due To Thei

I, like many others bought these clubs due to their price, and with a name like Dunlop I expected quality. However, all is not what it seems, after a couple of uses, the head on my 7i came loose. Many others seem to have had the same issue. I thought about taking it back, but for the sake of 5 quid I decided to fix it myself. I removed the shaft, sanded, files and cleaned the end and drilled the old glue from the core of the shaft. I did the same to the head. Using Araldite Rapid ( as advised by American Golf )I re-glued the shaft and have been happily using it ever since. OK, they may have a glue problem, but if you have a DIY attitude, you can fix them up in a few mins.

As An Absolute Beginner I Was Not Very Keen To Spe

As an absolute beginner I was not very keen to spend GBP 200.00, or more on golf clubs. I luckily bumped into the Dunlop & Donnay 65i 65i 12-sets golf clubs at World of Sports for GBP 66.00, and my daughter convinced me that I should buy them. Probably the best GBP 66.00 I have ever spent. One of my friends, who is a very keen golfer tried the 7I and the driver (he's got a + GBP 400.00 set of clubs) and he was very much impressed. I do not know much about golf yet, all I know that these clubs are dirt cheap and reliable even with me, after 3 months. They have managed to get very good reviews from all over the place.
