Great Dresses But Seems Overwhelmed

She has very nice dresses but when I tried to follow up on the tons of other dresses she said she has, she invariably promises to send pictures and details and then doesn't. I would rather she just either sent the pictures or don't mention it, but don't keep teasing. I still have yet to receive a refund for overage of shipping, which I'd be happy to apply to more dresses, but I just can't get her to send any info. She keeps complaining about how much she has to go through. To me, if you have a professional website and someone is pretty much begging to spend money with you, then you make it work.

So Very Sad

Early on in my engagement I found Posh Girl Vintage and fell in love with a vintage 50's dress. I never expected the dress to be perfect by any means, but it said it had three layers under it, one that had been mended. My fiancé ordered it for me on Christmas Eve, and we waited and waited to get it. I took into consideration the holidays, but our card had already been charged. So, a few days after New Years, my fiancé sent an email since their is no phone number, and a few days later we got an email saying they'd been away on holiday and would get the order together quickly. We understood, we just were glad to hear from them. It took another week to get it, but I was so excited to yank open the box and put it on.

Then I looked it the mirror. It was sheer, almost completely see through. I panicked slightly because my wedding is so close, but my girls had fittings the next day and I took it to my dressmaker. He explained that I needed to add a petticoat because one wasn't built in because it would add weight to the dress. I understood that. But the top was totally see through and he said the original lining had been removed at some point (Not necessarily by Posh Girl Vintage). He said we would need to put in a new liner, but in the end we didn't have time to do such.

This dress is described as being in excellent condition, which in their verbiage means minor repairs, yet ready to wear. It's anything but ready to wear. We contacted them and she was HORRIBLY rude to us. She said, in all caps, that SHE MADE NO MISTAKES!! And she knew sometimes people had buyers remorse, but not to blame it on her. I love this dress still, so this isn't just buyers remorse, because if I had time to fix it, I would. Then she further demanded we send it back if we hated it so much, but she had to have it Monday. We got this response on a Saturday evening and Monday is MLK Jr Day, so I'd love to know how I'm able to do this.

I wish I would've gotten your help, because she was and still continues to be horribly rude to us. All we are trying to figure out is if we mail it back Tuesday, will we receive our money back. I have to purchase another dress. If I could say anything to her without her back talk and rudeness, it would be, what happened to customer service. Perhaps she needs to re-read the Posh Girl Vintage motto.

Best Selection - Nice & Clean Too!

I shop at all the top vintage stores. My closet is 90% vintage. PoshGirlVintage.com is my favorite mainly for 2 reasons 1: they have the best selection of clothing hands down. It is cleaned & repaired too which is something I so appreciate after buy clothing on ebay or etsey & even a few of the vintage website online stores for the same price, yet it was dirty or smelly and the seams were not sewn up or repaired at all. You can totally tell they found it in a thrift store and just resent it out to me without cleaning it yet charged me almost $300!

I bought 3 times from PGV and was happy all 3 times. I did return the last order but it was no big deal. I got a store credit and they gave me a dicount code to take 15% off my next order.

#2 They reply in literally 5 minutes to my questions. I had size questions and it was great to not have to wait until the next day for my question. I bought the dress and blouse right after she replied. The service is good.

You do have to be careful of the return time! Make sure you decide if you like it -you have 3 days to get it in the mail. I returned something in 4 days and they were nice as could be. I think if you are nice they are nice but if you try to rip em off then they will stick to their policies.

Also they refunded me $3.89 from the shipping. They could have kept it I never would have known but it was an over charge and they sent it back to me. That really won me over!

Good Experience!

I knew I wanted a vintage wedding dress for my wedding from the start. I was slightly hesitant about ordering vintage from an online store because I want to feel and touch the quality of the item. I emailed many questions about the dress and got very quick responses. I finally decided to take a leap and order the dress because it was exactly what I was looking for my wedding. I love the dress! It is just how it was described through the website and email communication. The shipping was a little slow (I got the dress a week and half later), but that wasn't a big deal. My only reservation is the dress was shipped wrapped in tissue paper and stuck in a priority box. I would have thought for a $400.00 order the shipping would have been slightly more elaborate. All in all my experience was great and I will order from Posh Girl again.

Not So Great. The Website Is Beatiful! Unfortunat

Not so great. The website is beatiful! Unfortunately, when I got my dress is was unwearable due to it's age and condition. The description was misleading. Also, the picture was taken while the dress was on a hanger, which hid major flaws in the lace.

I waited two weeks for it to arrive. I emailed the store right away that i was not satisfied with the dress. But the store owners were on vacation and I had to wait for three days for a response.

While waiting for the response from the store, I myself had to travel for business for 3 days. When I told the owner that, I was told I would not get a refund or store credit because I waited too long. When I said I'd write a bad review, the owner said "Your anger is ridiculous" "We do have waiting lists for 99% of our dresses" "This back and forth is a waist of time." "Do what you need to do."

I thought about taking my chances with sending the dress back anyway...maybe they'd still give me store credit. But why would I want store credit with a store that treated me so rudely? So, I ended up taking it to an expert seamstress...that cost me another 200 dollars.

I'm sure that other people have had positive experiences with this business. I believe that it's been around for a long time and they have some beautiful things. Posh Girl Vintage should probably just remember that not every costumer who returns an item is a liar and crook...sometimes the store does make mistakes and sells something that is, indeed, in a poor condition.

Wow! 2 years to respond to a bad review? Also, it seems like I’m not the only one with such experience. Super friendly human being are not so friendly to their customers as it turns out. Very sad indeed. My review was accurate.

poshgirlvintage

I'm, Emma, the manager of Posh Girl Vintage and this review is sadly full of untruths! I can tell you for sure, we were NOT on any vacation and you did not have to wait for our response. Even when one or more of us is out we are always taking email with us and answer within minutes if not just an hour. We make sure our email is on our phones and laptops, etc...I remember this customer. You were WAY OVER 3 WEEKS LATE - NOT 3 DAYS! I wish you would at least be honest about your experience. We also do not hide flaws we go out of the way to show them up close, in fact. With many photos. You have 3 days to try it on and decide if you like it, if you didn't you should have just returned it. We accept returns for any reason at all as long as its in the mail within 3 days. That's fair. We have to protect from people who want to wear them out to parties then return them. Sadly that happens.

We really wish you would have just contacted us within those 3 days and you could have returned it. We did all we could and we said we dont even mind if its a day or so late but over 3 weeks is just too much. Then you got nasty. We still have the emails in our sent email box. When people get nasty we choose to just not respond after that. We are super friendly and want you to be happy and return but we do expect to be treated with basic dignity and respect. We are human beings. Thank you.

I Bought A 50's Vintage Dress For My Wedding Recep

I bought a 50's vintage dress for my wedding reception and am so in love with it I just can't stand it! They have the best selection of any vintage clothing site on the web. I bought a few pieces of vintage clothing on Etsey & ebay and they arrived stained and smelly and the measurement of the bust were off. But my dress from Posh Girl was cleaned and repaired and gorgeous & fit perfectly. I will & have gone back a bunch of time and I'm very happy with every purchase. They take returns for any reason at all too so if you don't like it just send it back. You have only 2 days to try it on though so make sure you don't forget.

Another amazing thing is they returned my emails in less than 5 minutes. They do get busy but always make time to help me out.

About a year ago I sent an email asking if they only sold to certain people. (I’ve never been able to purchase their more fabulous dresses.) They sent a very nice email back letting me know if there was anything in particular I was looking for to send my measurements, and they would go on the hunt. I was very impressed however haven’t had the time or need for that special dress. Tonight I tried to access the website and my ‘access is denied’. There is a phone number available for questions. Has Poshgirlvintage gone out of business?

flowerPower

Because their clothing, mostly the dresses, sell out in about 1 hour after they get listed! You have to be quick to get their cute dresses in the New Arrivals section. I have tried to buy many things and had someone else buy it quicker than i. I also made the mistake of letting it sit in my shopping bag too long when I went to check out it was sold.

This review was CLEARLY written by the owner!

This store stinks, bad attitude and mean owner.

I'd rather walk around in rags than buy from her again.

Cost me almost 300 EUROS!

I found this review not helpful because..."they do get busy but always take time to help me out"???? How would the costumer even know how busy they get??? It's an on line shop! Seriously????
