Recently I Went To The Street Cafe In Brighton. We
Recently I went to The Street Cafe in Brighton. We were hungry and this place looked alright, and the menu seemed to have something for all of us. As we went in, we were told that there would be a 20 minute wait, which we said would be okay. We decided to sit outside, but soon went back inside, as the state of the garden area, and furniture, is not somewhere you would choose to eat your food on or near.
Not everything we wanted was still being served so we had to alter our order. We waited for about 40 minutes, in which time the drinks still had not been served. After enquiring, we were told our meals would take 2 minutes, so we asked if we could have our drinks. One of the drinks arrived, and then nothing, so again we asked for the rest of our drinks, and had to even remind them what they were. The meals started to arrive, which were cold, and with half of what was meant to be served. We even had to ask them for cutlery as none was provided. The food, the price, the quality of service, was well below acceptable. At one point they locked the entrance doors, as they had stopped serving, and we were glad no-one else would be fooled by the menu, for that day at least.
I have no idea why they were busy, but I for one will never step foot in there again. Not an experience I enjoyed at all.
